Navy Chief Navy Pride Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Here is what I am thinking and it is also very realistic and need based. 3rd.....TE.....Martin Rucker 4th (a).....C.....Steve Justice 4th (b).....FB.....Owen Schmitt.....or.....Peyton Hillis if Schmitt is gone 5th.....DE.....Wallace Gilberry These next 4 picks I believe will make or break this draft. We need to build upon what seems to be a successful 1st day and the above players would do just that. Thoughts? Discuss...

ax4782 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Buffalo will hopefully go with: 3. Dan Connor LB 4. Owen Schmitt/Peyton Hillis FB 4. Kellen Davis/Martin Rucker TE 5. Antoine Fluellen DT/DE 6. Colt Brennan QB 7. Matt Spanos C/G 7. S 7. O-Line That should pretty much take care of the rest of our needs.
Brandon Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 R3 - TE Jermichael Finley, Texas R4 - DT Dre Moore, Maryland R4 - DE Darrell Robertson, Georgia Tech R5 - WR Keenan Burton, Kentucky It looks to me like there are only two really solid TE prospects left at this point, so that's where I'd go in R3. Kellen Davis is the other one and I think it would be a toss-up as to which one the Bills draft. DE is also starting to get very thin, so they may look there as well in R3. Edit: I forgot about Rucker. I think he certainly factors into this as well. Dre Moore probably shouldn't be available at 114, but looking at this draft so far, it appears that the DTs are slipping down a bit and a good one might be stolen at this point in the draft. If a good one is available, it would be to their benefit to pick him. Robertson is an excellent pass rushing specialist who was injured training for the combine and hasn't been able to workout for scouts, but should make a complete recovery. He could be a major steal at this point. Finally, we have another WR. I still can't decide if they'll look for another redzone type, or an all-around player who can push Reed and Parrish for the slot role and potentially replace Evans if necessary. In any event, I do think its likely that they'll take another WR in R4-6, plus possibly one more with a 7th.
Tipster19 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 3rd rd- C John Sullivan 4th rd- DT DeMario Pressley 4th rd- TE Jacob Tamme 5th rd- QB Kevin O'Connell
Sen. John Blutarsky Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Buffalo will hopefully go with: 3. Dan Connor LB 4. Owen Schmitt/Peyton Hillis FB 4. Kellen Davis/Martin Rucker TE 5. Antoine Fluellen DT/DE 6. Colt Brennan QB 7. Matt Spanos C/G 7. S 7. O-Line That should pretty much take care of the rest of our needs. Fluellen will rock in our defense given what we ask our DTs to do. Not sure hell last unil 5. If Schmitt is gone HIllis isn't an equivalent, wait on a better blocker til later. I love Rucker and I don't care if he can't block a lick.
HurlyBurly51 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 We could probably get a nice value DT (Moore, Harrison, Fluellen) in round 3, TE and OLB in round 4, and C Lichtensteiger in round 5.
Mike formerly from Florida Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Buffalo will hopefully go with: 3. Dan Connor LB 4. Owen Schmitt/Peyton Hillis FB 4. Kellen Davis/Martin Rucker TE 5. I'm betting Fatcells picks Connor with the first pick today...just my gut.
billybob Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 3. Carl Nicks OT/OG 4a. Chris Ellis DE 4b Martin Rucker TE 5. Frank Okam DT 6. Owen Schmitt FB
