I'm going with either Pat Sims or best OT available. Wonder if Dan Connor would slide. I was against drafting LB, but in the third that'd be tempting.

The best tight end out there!

Sims or Connor are tops on my board. Kellen Davis is a possibility. Reggie Smith might be good to back up Safety. There are still a few decent CBs out there- not that we need another one-Godfrey and Justin King. Avril or Jeremy Geathers would help the pass rush. Some decent DTs still available-Fluellen, Marcus Harrison, Rubin, Red Bryant. We will get get a good player in round 3- and we have 4 of the next 83 picks. Doucet

I like Reggie Smith a lot.

I don't think Connor will be there but I'd love it. That said, either Tennessee TE Brad Cottam (6' 8'', 275, 4.70) or Missouri TE Martin Rucker (6' 4.5'', 249, 4.71).

I was gonna say Mike Pollack but I checked the board first. Darn, I wanted that guy for our 3rd.

I still say take the best Center available. We gotta get somebody to challenge Fowler, not that it's going to be that hard. <_<

If we go TE I like Brad Cottam more than Martin Rucker and as far as DT's while Pat Sims had a great year at Auburn last year he has bust written all over him so I'd take Dre Moore, Red Bryant and Frank Okam in that order if we go DT.

I would not be disappointed if we picked up OLB Xavier Adibi, SS Reggie Smith or C Steve Justice if they are still on the board at that pick either.

I've got my fingers crossed for Cottam though.

On The Short Board:

TE Cottam/Finley/Rucker go in RD3. Tamme/Stevens in RD5-6, Haynos RD6-7. Cottam will probably go earlier than #72; if not snag him. Of all of these, Stevens, Finley and Haynos have better char. & blocking. Some like Rucker. I like Stevens in RD5.

ILB Connor, Philip Wheeler. Both go in RD3. Goff/Dunbar/Moffitt later. I like Connor/Wheeler in RD3 if we don't take Cottam.

DT Sims/Moore/Bryant go in RD3. Fluellen/Okam/Dykes later. I like Okam in RD4 .

FB Schmitt RD4 Compensatory, or Jed Collins in RD6.

DE Chris Harrington (RD4), Brian Johnston (RD5), Chase Ortiz/Rudolph Hardie (RD6-7). I like Johnston RD5.

OLB Lots here: Erin Henderson, Marcus Howard, Geno Hayes, Bruce Davis, Guyton, Ezra Butler, Woodyard, Kehl, Vobora.. I like Ezra Butler RD5.

QB O'Connell or Dixon RD6, or Paul Smith/Bernard Morris in UDFA.

OG Schuening, Mike McGlynn. Crummey, McDuffie, Rinehardt later. I like Rinehardt RD7.

If you can't tell by now I am 100% for Brad Cottam, even if it takes a trade. Now as far as LB is concerned, Mitchell, Pozlusny, Crowell, DiGiorgio, we do not need another starter. We need another OLB for special teams or back-up in the 5th or 6th.

Brad Cottam has had so many surgeries, it's hard to believe he'll be durable. Measureables are one thing, but his health is another.

He's challenging Mark Schlereth for total surgeries, and he hasn't made it to the NFL yet.

For my money, Kellen Davis is the best option at TE.

I agree. Cottam is a serious health risk. Kellen Davis is the top TE on my board. I would be thrilled if drafted Davis in the third
