kendrickoffice
just pointed out something that's always been on my mind asking why the Jags let so much time run off the clock after they traded for their pick. Once you trade up don't you know who youre taking. Can anyone explain why this takes some teams so long I have noticed it happening for many years. UConn James
That's like wondering why Hollywood stars take so long walking down the red carpet. It's time in the limelight where you have the whole world interested in your team.

My best guess: they want to call the pick on the phone before they announce his name. But that doesn't take very long either, so . . . . (unless they have to find his number). In other words, I don't know either.
Nanker
They had to call the Budweiser brewery to make sure there was enough suds dispersed throughout the J-hole area so there wouldn't be a riot when their pick was announced.
