truth on hold Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 thats still not outstanding i thought it was 4.5+. and he complained about the field and his coach giving bad info too. he pretty much said goodbye to the 1st round at that point
Pete Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 So people, what do we do next? TE? BPA- it could be Groves, Sweed, Kelly, Mario, Martellus, Sims, Cambell, Bell, Xavier, etc
Draconator Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 What an absolutely horrible pick. With Jackson on the board, and his ability, you draft someone for his size, when he obviously gives up on catches he has the ability to make? Sickening...
kendrickoffice Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 I am bumming there is no third round tonight. I am having withdrawal! totally, 4.5 hours in usually gets you to the late first round. we would normally have 2 rounds left but now we have just 1/2. does anyone know what time it starts tomorrow?
Lurker Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 thats still not outstanding Name the NFL wideouts at that size that run faster....
gobillsinytown Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 I think the reason most teams passed on a WR in the first round is that it takes longer for a WR to develop, and in this era the first round pick has to contribute immediately. Although with Hardy I think he can contribute right now in the red zone. Throw it up and let him go rebounding!
Astrobot Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Still there from RD#1 Board: Kelly WR's Jackson Sweed Calais Campbell DE RD#2 Guys I Like For Us: Fred Davis TE Chilo Rachal OG Mike Pollak OC Pat Sims DT Trevor Laws DT Xavier Adibi OLB Quentin Groves OLB Dan Connor ILB
Pete Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 i thought it was 4.5+. and he complained about the field and his coach giving bad info too. he pretty much said goodbye to the 1st round at that point google- 40 Time: 4.45 40 Low: 4.42
Brandon Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 You have to put it into perspective. For a guy that's over 6'5, a 4.5 40 is a great run. The really interesting thing is that he also ran some of the better times in the agility drills as well. You usually expect taller guys to struggle changing directions, but that may not be the case with Hardy.
stewy23 Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 So people, what do we do next? TE? Negative. We've got a big body to play wideout. We don't need to spend a valuable pick on a TE because Carlson and Keller are gone. Bennett is good, but I don't think we should target him. I say we go after a Defensive End to help with our pass rush.

With Jackson on the board, and his ability, you draft someone for his size, when he obviously gives up on catches he has the ability to make? Sickening... So you wanted a Roscoe clone? I'll take the size over another return then receiver guy Now if Lee was 6'1"+ Jackson would have been getting the call for sure
Huuuge Bills Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Still there from RD#1 Board:Kelly WR's Jackson Sweed Calais Campbell DE RD#2 Guys I Like For Us: Fred Davis TE Chilo Rachal OG Mike Pollak OC Pat Sims DT Trevor Laws DT Xavier Adibi OLB Quentin Groves OLB Dan Connor ILB Rachal went a few picks ahead of us already.
John from Riverside Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Todays part of the draft was an A If you had traded down in the first and taken James Hardy I would have been thrilled.......but the bills did better then that......they got a lockdown corner in the first and a starting red zone target in Hardy

With Jackson on the board, and his ability, you draft someone for his size, when he obviously gives up on catches he has the ability to make? Sickening... I don't want any receiver that roscoe parrish could probably take in a fight

Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 LOL the Bears don't address QB and instead another RB.
