Brandon Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Why? All the WR's are still on the board. Sure, there's going to be a run, but I don't see a reason to start losing picks for these guys now. Obviously they are not worth what everyone thinks they are. It depends upon whether or not they have a specific WR in mind. If they do, it certainly may be time to start working the phones.
slyng1 Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Spoke too soon on Dallas... What do people think of SF trading down to us? They need more picks b/c they were terrible last year...
John from Riverside Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 OK...thats enough swoop in on SD and take Thomas
PromoTheRobot Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Cowgirls pick Jenkins!!! WR's are still all there! Hey, I called the trade. PTR
In space no one can hear Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 holy sh--!!!! THis is working out! Gee, Maybe the Bills know what they are doing........
silvermike Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Unless just about everybody goes WR between now and us, we'll have a shot at one of Sweed, Hardy, Kelly, Doucet, or Thomas. And someone will probably even take DeSean Jackson in there. I say we stay put. Though, to put this out there: what if Calais Campbell drops?
kendrickoffice Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 schefter just predicted duane brown to the texans. hes been dead on all day
Pete Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 there will be a run on DE's soon- Merling, Jackson, and Calais
Phil Indablanc Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 I would be ok with a WR at 11. Did you laugh when teams did not spend a third round pick on Tom Brady? And since when did you start putting so much stock into what talking heads on TV said? I think you give them way too much credit. Lets see Devin Thomas and his fellow WRs play for a couple years before proclaiming them busts Point 1 I'm not talking about the talking heads. I'm talking about the people that actually make the picks. Point 2 With regards to Brady in the third all I can say is I wished I had bought IBM stock in 19962. That is an incredibly specious argument because you are looking with hindsight and that is very easy to do. Point 3 Now you are projecting to the future. If you are right you are a genius. If you are wrong you will vanish in the endless hubris that is the nature of internet posts. Either way I am not trying to fight with you. GO BILLS.
Huuuge Bills Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Unless just about everybody goes WR between now and us, we'll have a shot at one of Sweed, Hardy, Kelly, Doucet, or Thomas. And someone will probably even take DeSean Jackson in there. I say we stay put. Though, to put this out there: what if Calais Campbell drops? Then you follow suit and allow him to pass on by.
billsfanmiami(oh) Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Man I will be pissed if one of those WR's is still there when we pick and we pick a LB or something.
Pete Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 schefter just predicted duane brown to the texans. hes been dead on all day Houston needs oline bad
VABills Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Man I will be pissed if one of those WR's is still there when we pick and we pick a LB or something. Conner.
kendrickoffice Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Eagles trade a fourth to the dolphins for Lorenzo Booker? can you say random?
bills44 Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 When was the last time that a WR hadn't been selected in the first 26 picks?
HeHateMe78 Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 This has to be a record for most O-lineman selected in 1st and WR falling this far in the 1st
slyng1 Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Conner. If we had picked WR in 1st, i wouldn't have been surprised w/ that pick, but without a WR, i think they'll have to pass on connor...
