Beerball
Everett wins Halas AwardToday Posted By: Chris Brown | Time: 3:59 PM ET | Link EVERETT WINS HALAS AWARD: Bills tight end Kevin Everett was the recipient of the Pro Football Writers of America Halas Award presented to a player or coach that overcomes adversity. As we all know Everett overcame a life-threatening spinal injury to walk again and return to see his teammates prior to the home finale against the Giants last year. The other finalists included Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Ellis, who I believe returned this season from an achilles injury, Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress who played the entire season injured, Giants QB Eli Manning and the Washington Redskins for their 4-1 record following the death of Sean Taylor to qualify for the playoffs. The PFWA got this one right.
