Dan III Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 I laughed my a$$ off.. If you like movies where nothing is off limits, you're going to love this movie. There isn't a scene in TA equal to the Saddam & Satan scene in SP but the bar scene comes close.
KeyserSoze81 Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 I enjoyed most of it, but the SP guys always manage to dissappoint in some ways. They just resorted to far too much oversimplified bathroom humour, esp. in the second half. The idea, the parody, and most of the execution was brilliant, and I definitely enjoyed parts of it. The things that pissed me off: overdrawn vomitting actor, the "test" to see if he's loyal... But other parts were simply genius. The main song "America..." was great, the Lease song... The parody of certain scenes rivals the Naked Gun movies . In the end tho, I would say that the good outweighed the bad, but I cant help but think that had the movie not fallen back on bathroom, oversimplified jokes, it could have been so much better. But that is usually my problem with Matt Stone and Trey Parker... Such good ideas, but they get drawn in by the gross-out humour too often.
