kegtapr
Friday the 13th (Probably the hardest game that I've ever played) I'd have to go with Rygar on that one, although Friday the 13th is a close second.
Andrew in CA
I'd have to go with Rygar on that one, although Friday the 13th is a close second. I cannot believe I forgot Rygar! That one is my favorite. A couple of summers ago, I dug up my NES and Rygar was still in it. I spent about 6 hours playing it all the way to the end, not even realizing how long it was taking me. Addicting game. The thing with Friday the 13th is, I didn't even know where to begin, what the point was, the map was so confusing, etc. I've still never beaten it. Also, Wizards & Warriors was sweet.

Andrew in CA
Here's a vote for the WORST Goonies Goonies was awful. Back to the Future and Karnov were some awful games, too. Kid Nikki was terrible, but in a funny way, so you could play it for a few minutes.

MattyT
Definitely Baseball Stars and Tecmo (and Super) Tecmo Bowl. I still don't think I've played a baseball video game that I enjoyed as much as Baseball Stars. Played lots of Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Ice Hockey and Double Dribble too. mcjeff215
I'd have to go with Rygar on that one, although Friday the 13th is a close second. Friday the 13th. God that game sucked. My votes... Ninja Gaiden (the original) and anything Castlevania, especially #2. My 6th grade buddies and I lost tons of sleep beating that game. My wife and I actually ebay'd an original NES a few months ago... it's amazing how much fun those games are as compared to the fancy PS3/XBOX stuff these days. They were simple! We find that the two of us can waste hours playing Super Mario Brothers 2 (No no, not the one with T.O.). I bought Ninja Gaiden from an old used game store a couple months back. I can still get to that last boss, just can't beat him. It's just like I'm 9 again.
apuszczalowski
Never owned an original NES system, I had an Atari and the Sega Systems (still have them in the basement) and I agree, the greatest game of alltime for any system was NBA Jam, although my other favorite for the Sega Genisis was Mutant League Football and Mutant League Hockey I did play alot of NES and I have to say my favorites were the Zelda games, Contra, and my personal favorite was Maniac Mansion, for some reason I just loved that game. Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A, and then start? Isn't that the one that made Contra easy? Worked on a lot of Konami games if I remember right. Edit... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konami_Code Digg.com allows users to type the full Konami code into the site to expand and display all comments on a page. Cool. R. Rich
There's a few: Casino Kid Track & Field Tecmo Super Bowl Mike Tyson's Punchout (not that cheap a** imitation w/out Tyson) Duck Tales (kinda a Mario ripoff, but fun nonetheless) Commando The one baseball game where you can throw the ball so fast it leaves a trail of fire (don't remember the name) I still have my NES system and all of the above games except for the baseball one. the_franchise
I believe this came out on Super NES but my brother and I still play this on one of the Arcade collections that came out for Playstation 2. Its pretty good 2 player but the single player mode isn't anything spectacular. Rampart
