Beerball Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Nothing like a little extortion: http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/24247385/ This can only help his reinstatement case I don't think it will hurt his reinstatement. He picked the guy out of a line-up, & I would think he will testify at his trial. Those are upstanding things to do (whatever his motives). Regarding the extortion--what were his choices? Where he may be harmed is at trial. If the defense says that the shooting was made at Jones' urging then he could be !@#$, but I would guess that Goodell will see this (IDing the guy, testifying) as a positive.

Well, I tend to think that anything that keeps bringing the whole Night Club shooting back to the front pages is just gonna remind Goodell about how bad the situation was. The idea of the company you keep, and putting yourself in a position to be extorted show incredibly bad judgment in this case. I think Pac's best shot at reinstatement, was to hope that all this would just go away, and not keep getting brought up. Even though he was allegedly a "victim" in this case, it still brings attention back to his previous behavior which won't help him IMO. He'll be royally screwed if this guy starts testifying that Pacman told him to shoot the guy, and has even a tiny bit of proof.
Guffalo Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I kinda wish the Dallas trade had already occurred before this was dredged up, just a new set of screws for Jerry Jones, lose a decent pick and have a contract with a guy who won't be playing for 2-3 years, kinda fitting for Dallas.

This can only be good for us. If Dallas gets spooked by this we can get him for a 5th or 6th. This guy is a MAJOR talent at a position we need. He would sign for not much $ so he can prove himself and he knows this is his last chance. No Brainer. Goodell is from Jamestown so he would proably look the other way if the Bills get Pac Man.

He's one heck of a "special teams" guy.... JUST SAY NO TO PAC MAN JONES !!!!
