ExiledInIllinois Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 You and mean are on the same wavelength there.... It KILLS me how people fight over spaces closest to the store they are trying to go into.......but need to lose some weight. Here is an idea....park a little further away and get some EXERCISE I could get a parking permit closer to my office where I work....but I deliberately keep the same one I have had for the past 8 years because it is a little bit of a hike and I can stretch my legs. Same here... I park as far away as possible... Doesn't help, but it is a try!!! I know some really need them... I find it really funny how people struggle to park the closest.
ExiledInIllinois Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Lazy cop, i would have towed her for illegal parking. Who said the car driver was a SHE??
ExiledInIllinois Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 My 81 year old mother get along fine on her own. She doesn't drive at night anymore or go on the highway, but she goes to the doctor, shopping, and taking her 91 year old sister (who could still drive if her vision was better) around. She has osteoporosis, sciatica and arthritis and needs a cane a lot of the time. If she had to walk far at a place like Galleria Mall, she wouldn't go shopping. If you get to that age, being able to get around keeps you going. Hell, two weeks after she had an operation for appendicitis last summer, the doctor gave her a clean bill of health. Do they have handicapped parking at Casino Niagara? St. Josephat's Bingo? Do they still offer free cheese? Man those old people can really motate when needed!
ExiledInIllinois Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 How do you get all that gear into a Prius ? Able bodied people barely fit into a Prius? Wow! Just reading through this gem of a thread... And instant classic with replies like this. Threads like this always work better when reading comprehension is not offered on the menu! Keep up the wonderful work FiSD (sarcasm)...
Fan in San Diego Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 There should be a way for a business to get a waiver on the number of spaces they need to comply. Why change the subject? You were caught in a lie and called on it deal with it. What lie ? People start insulting me when people and their opinions differ from mine and theirs are perceived to be more correct by themselves so that gives you or anybody else the right to start insulting me? America is not founded on that principle. We are all intitled to our opinions and the right to express them.
