In space no one can hear Posted April 16, 2008 Author Posted April 16, 2008 Winderlic FYI: While an average football player usually scores around 20 points, Wonderlic, Inc. claims a score of at least 10 points suggests a person is literate. Furthermore, when the test was given to miscellaneous people of various professions, it was observed that the average participant scored a 24. This assessment roughly corresponds to examples from Paul Zimmerman's The New Thinking Man's Guide to Pro Football. According to Zimmerman, examples of average scores for each position are: Offensive tackle - 26 Center - 25 Quarterback - 24 Guard - 23 Tight end - 22 Safety - 19 Linebacker - 19 Cornerback - 18 Wide receiver - 17 Fullback - 17 Halfback - 16 Pat McInally, a graduate of Harvard University, is the only football player to record a confirmed perfect score of 50.

SHOUTBOX MONSTER! Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Pat McInally, a graduate of Harvard University, is the only football player to record a confirmed perfect score of 50. Lex Hilliard 24/50 Wallace Gilberry 17/50 Godser Cherilus 25/50 Are those scores right? I think some people cheated.... I mean Mr. Gilberry apparently improved from below average to Harvard level in between tests. He must've really focused on the wonderlic instead of those other guys wasting their time trying to get in top physical condition for the draft.
Lurker Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Wonderlic Scores Jeff Otah 28/16/35 The 2nd number is the score they got the 2nd time it was taken.(if they took it twice) Poor Otah...I'd loved to have seen his face after the second test score came out.
Lt. Dan's Revenge Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 The corners obviously aren't exactly the brightest crayons in the box this year....
Lurker Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 The corners obviously aren't exactly the brightest crayons in the box this year.... They boned up for the second test, tho... Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie 19/38 Leodis McKelvin 13/34
Brandon Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Wonderlic Scores The 2nd number is the score they got the 2nd time it was taken.(if they took it twice) I'm pretty sure that the second number is how many questions they attempted to answer.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 The following is the actual question and response given by Mr. Tracy Porter during the Wonderlic Test. Question #16: The third month of the year is ________ Answer: Ham

Question #16: The third month of the year is ________ Answer: Ham Ha, I just laughed out loud. There agents have people coach them on these tests. Thats why you usually see a dramatic rise from one score to the next. Some of thses guys are scary stupid.

eball Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Somebody go pick up Andre Caldwell...he's lost around the corner from his house again.
/dev/null Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Are those scores right? I think some people cheated.... I mean Mr. Gilberry apparently improved from below average to Harvard level in between tests. He must've really focused on the wonderlic instead of those other guys wasting their time trying to get in top physical condition for the draft. He was tutored by Mr Cartmenez and the test was proctored by Beel Belacheek
Astrobot Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I'm pretty sure that the second number is how many questions they attempted to answer. What do three numbers mean?
Pete Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I am sure the second number is the number of questions answered. Two 4 scores? Wow that is sad. Thanks for putting that info up- I love reading the Wonderlic scores. Overall it seems like an above average intelligence class. Most people scored decent or very good. Especially when compared to past wonderlic scores at the combine
kendrickoffice Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 For all of those mocking the 4 score...our very own Jason Peters scored a 6 on this test. The second lowest on the wonderlic that year just behind his Arkansas teammate ahmad carrol who score a 4. FWIW
ans4e64 Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 For all of those mocking the 4 score...our very own Jason Peters scored a 6 on this test. The second lowest on the wonderlic that year just behind his Arkansas teammate ahmad carrol who score a 4. FWIW Tracy Porter is projected to go late 1st round/early 2nd round. A top prospect. Jason Peters was an undrafted free agent that nobody wanted. Big difference.
