Realist Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 Everyone has their thoughts on the McGahee quote and most think that his agent said the remarks and admitted as much. I do agree that's probably what happened. However, and this is just a thought, WM is young, very confident in his abilities and such. I think it may be possible that Willis made the comments about being a starter then later realized, after hearing it publicized so widely during the day, what a stupid, self centered thing that was to say. He then calls his agent and asks what he could do to fix the situation and Rosenhaus tells him to chill and Drew then takes the blame, figuring, who's not going to believe Rosenhaus said those things considering his reputation. Could this be a situation where Rosenhaus is covering up for the immature McGahee? Hmmmmmmmmm..... Now, please, flame away...
SuperBills12 Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 no need to flame. it's pointless to gossip about this whole thing, neither of them are going away for this year....Once the year is over, the bills will assess where things are, and I for one hope they keep travis.
pkwwjd Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 I vote for keeping the one who provides us with the biggest upside and current production being taken into consideration. We need to get away from saying TH or WM is the right one for the future. I'm just excited that we have both right now. Truth is, we don't have a clue which one is the right one right now.

Willis has never once complained about his role with the Bills, which is why that report last Friday took me so aback. It smacked of a weaselous agent, and it was.
Fan in San Diego Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 Given the Travis Henry injury. I think it is silly to discuss trading either back. A team needs two good backs during a season to cope with the little or major injuries that are going to happen. There will be no trade.

Larry Playfair Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 we hold all the cards!! Its great. There will be no trade this year and by Oct both will be playing. With that 1-2 punch, I can see us running over opponents! Bring it!!!

As much as I can't wait for the regular season, I'm just about as excited for the trade deadline so we can shut up with the sideshow and concentrate on football.
