DraftTek is holding a Correspondent's Mock Draft right now, and I'm 2 picks away from the Bills' pick.

1 Miami Jake Long OT Michigan -3 Reach

2 St Louis Chris Long DE Virginia +0 Value

3 Atlanta Glenn Dorsey DT LSU +2 Value

4 Oakland Vernon Gholston DE Ohio St -1 Reach

5 Kansas City Ryan Clady OT Boise St -3 Reach

6 NY Jets Darren McFadden RB Arkansas +3 Value

7 * New England Leodis McKelvin CB Troy St -5 Reach

8 Baltimore Matt Ryan QB Boston College +2 Value

Cincy just picked OLB Rivers. Cheatriots are on the clock, and will pick from this list:

Ellis, DR-C, Derrick Harvey, Chris Williams, Albert, Mendenhall, Stewart, Merling, Cason, Devin Thomas.

My thought is, from listening to you guys, that you'd pick Ellis if he's there, and Harvey if he's not.

By the way, I've made trade down offers:

Our #1 and #3 to the Cowboys (for both #1's)---Said they would pass,

Our #1 and #4 to the Redskins (for their #1 and #2)---They thought it was do-able but waffled and said No,

Our #1 and #4 to the Texans (for their #1 and #2)---Haven't Heard Yet,

Our #1 and #4 to the Vikings (for their #1 and #2)---Haven't Heard Yet.

Give Me Your Thoughts.

Vikings just offered

our #11 for their #17 and #73.

We'd choose back to back players in Round 3 (#72, 73).

However, we'd lose on the point cvalue chart (1175 instead of 1250).

I like the idea of trading down because we get back to back picks in Round 3, a very good round for us.

-----62Earl Bennett WR-Vandy 6'0 209 4.4, has SEC record in receptions

-----65JeromeSimpson WR-CCU 6'2, 4.4, 199, 10.75" hands

-----68Brad Cottam TE - Tenn injury history good blocker 16 ypc

-----91John Carlson TE - ND 272, abv avg blk 10 ypc

-----64 Erin Henderson OLB - MD

-----63Roy Schuening OG - OreState

-----84Charles Godfrey CB- Iowa Chris Brown recommended

-----71Andre Woodson QB- Kentucky

-----77Josh Johnson QB - SD- 6'3 4.5 Lynch cousin

-----79Eddie Royal WR - Va Tech 4.3 KR

-----94Jordy Nelson WR -Kansas St 6'3 4.5

-----87Red Bryant DT - TX

-----92Chilo Rachal OG - USC 315, 5.12

-----88 Bruce Davis OLB - UCLA

I'm thinking seriously of taking his offer. Anyone else think it's NOT a done deal?

Should I ask for their 5th rounder to "make it fair"?

It already is pretty fair by the draft value chart.

It's 1250 for them, 1175 for us. The 5th Rounder makes it 1250 tem, 1206 for us. I'm just being mercenary.

I've made the offer to the Vikes.

The Bills are offering Their #11 for Vikes' #17, 3rd Rounder (#73), and 5th Rounder (#150).

I'm willing to go to #11 for Vikes' #17, 3rd Rounder (#73), and early 6th Rounder (#182).

I would pull the trigger on that deal. We could then take Limas Sweed and pay him less. Great value in round three, so those picks are great, or they could be bundled and we move back into round two's bottom portion.

Good idea. The Vikes haven't responded yet to my counter-offer, but I assume he's actually trying to get real work done.

Bills #11 for Vikes' #17, 3rd Rounder (#73), and 5th Rounder (#150). I am even willing to go

Bills #11 for Vikes' #17, 3rd Rounder (#73), and early 6th Rounder (#182).

If the Bills pull this off, the Bills will have 8 of the Top 150:

#17---

#42---

#72---

#73---

#111--

#132--

#138--

#150--

#170--

#202--

#210--

#251--

The pressure is too great! What if the WR you want isn't there @ 17?

Nah Astro, you gotta make that trade much as I covet Ellis. 5th or 6th thrown in works.

All of the WR's we want will be there at #17.

I'm planning on taking 2 very good DT's in later rounds:

At Pick #132--Andre Fluellen DT FSU - great burst, a space eater, gets pressure up the middle, 1 or 3-gap

Derek Lokey as a UDFA.

Highly unlikely that CIN would pass on Ellis...

Draft-Tek had CIN picking McFadden a while back. Amazing.

For BUF, if Ellis is there, go for it.

The sticking point in all of this with the Vikings is that they would only do a deal if there are 2 DE's when the Bills pick. They want to wait until the last minute to do this deal, because Harvey (or Merling, for that matter) could still be picked by New Orleans. I think New Orleans is going to pick DR-C, though, and a deal is worked out between the Vikes and Bills.

Cincy made me change my mind. Take Ellis and be happy for years to come!

McFadden was a choice for them, but in this scenario, McFadden went off the board at 6 to the Jets.

I've made one last offer to the Vikes--our #11 to slide to #17 and get their #73. I wouldn't mind Ellis even though we pass on our top 3 needs.

Do you have a link, so we can watch the picks? I would trade down also, get the extra picks if you can.

Here's the secret link:

http://www.drafttek.com/2008Corr1.html Click on the Target icon if you don't see the picks.

Picks already made have a light blue background.

I have made a tentative deal to trade down to the Vikes' #17 for their third rounder.
