RVJ Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 No bashing please. I just want to know the cost of moving up to the third or fourth selection. So thats seven or eight picks higher. Would a 3rd and 4th plus J.P. do it. Or would it cost more ? Just curious thanks !
RVJ Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 The reason I ask is because I think Long, Dorsey and Gholston are worth the move.
Brandon Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 A rough guess: 11 and 41 this year, plus a 1st or 2nd next.
lets_go_bills Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 There's a "point value" system in place. Each pick in the draft has a value and therefore a trade would have to consist of picks that equal to the value of the higher selection. So in your case, the cost of moving to the 4th pick would cost the Bills their first round pick, second round pick, and fourth round pick. Here's a link to the trade value chart: http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/features/valuechart.html

I think we need to trade down, get more draft picks, and get more depth with these added picks.
