Milloy's play

DId Lawyer play? How did he look against Titans first team. I bet he will have more of an impact this year, solid last year but hopefully stronger this year!

There weren't any high grades going out to the starting defense. They looked putrid... especially on the opening drive... allowing 15 plays. Fortunately, Fisher lost his senses and gambled on 4th down...handing the ball to Antowain Smith.

McNair cut through the Bills defense like a torch through snow and Chris Brown averaged over 6 yards a carry on them. Milloy? he was just as bad as the rest.

malta - your retarded posts are getting old.

I thought he looked good, but their o-line and Brown did get a good push on our D. I expect Milloy to step up after having a year under his belt in our D scheme.

My, My, My...I didnt think I was popular enough to have detractors. Now I feel all warm and gooey inside.

First off, if you cannot understand the sarcasm in my post, then you havent been paying close enough attention. I personally view anyone who gets upset over preseason performances as a person who takes the game far too seriously. Look at last year for example. I remember last year there was talk that our defense was going to be the most piss-poor, pathetic squad in all of the NFL because of preseason performance, and we ended up finishing second. What I cannot stand is criticism of one of our better players because he didnt "show up" in a preseason game. Sam Adams didnt do squat in the preseason last year, but being the veteran that he is, he clearly didnt have to show his stuff in meaningless games. Lawyer Milloy is the same way. Why go all out in a preseason game when he's proven that he can cut the mustard. I swear to god, it seems like some people are just BEGGING to find something wrong with our star players.

I agree, I think it's getting old as well. People should really, really...stop being so damn pessimistic and then I think the "doooomed" thing will end.

I think most would agree that Milloy, while in a slight decline (as most players his age are) as he gets older, is still very solid and earns most of his pay by being a leader and keeping things together on D.

I heard an interesting stat from Jim Mora Jr. the other day on the radio. He said that superbowl winning teams have .720+ win percentage in preseason and that very few teams have ever won the superbowl with a losing preseason record, the last being some 49ers team.

After reviewing the game through my replay, it seemed that Ron Edwards was playing alot on the line when those big runs for the Titans occurred. He didn't have a good game at all. Then again, it seemed the whole defensive line was uninspired.
