Schobel makes 1.5 million this year

Denney 2.3

Kelsey 1.4

Neill 370,000

Bryan 370,00

Thats 5.94 million tied up this year at DE. Compare that to 5.01 million invested in WR this year and even the 7.2 invested in OT and you'll see that it is a myth that we have all of this money tied up in DE.

Bottom line is this: We can afford a 1st rd DE just as much as we can afford a 1st rd WR. We're 21 million under the cap for heaven's sake and thats without the rookie cap being adjusted yet.

I highly doubt this is being overheard at One Bills Drive:"We can't put anymore money at DE!!!!" "Then draft a WR!!!".

The real question the Bills front office is faced with is who is going to impact this team most as a rookie and who gives us a good bang for our buck.

I'll say it again...the Bills have committed almost $35 million to Kelsay and Schobel within the last 13 months in the form of *guaranteed* money.

I highly doubt we do any trading up this year. We already dropped a 3rd and 5th on Stroud. In addition, we have ALOT of special teams voids to fill with losing aiken, wire, stamer, haggan, and maybe taking T McGee off of return duties, where our picks will be needed in the later rounds.

Another Note... We will not be taking a DE this year in RD 1 unless some top talent falls to us like Long/Gholston. We all forget that in the last two years Denney resigned, Kelsay resigned, Schobel resigned, Spencer Johnson (DT/DE) SIgned, and Jason Jefferson (DT/DE) resigned. Our 1st pick will most likely be WR/CB
