buckeyemike Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Linky. Even I'm not that impressed by it. This is the Buckeyes' second NIT title and first since 1986. Well, when your team played in the NCAA title game last year, anything else, even a title from a tournament that used to be bigger than March Madness, is a comedown.
Spun Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 The Buckeyes along with Florida lost a lot of talent from last years teams. The Buckeyes most likely wouldn't have lasted long in the NCAA tourney. Playing more games in the NIT may benefit them in the long term.
BuffaloBud Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Totally fogot about this last night when we visited the local BWWs. Guy at the table next to us must have thought that they were playing for the national championship. I did remind my wife that they were playing for the 66th best team in the country a bit louder than I should have. He simmered down a bit after that.
