pm73 Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Thane Gash. I think he was a safety for the Browns in the early 90's.
Pete Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Wasnt there a Thomas Beer a few years ago? I also like the name Ted Bruski. I hate the pats but who can argue with a last name like brewski?
bcbillsfan Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 What about Dick "Night Train" Lane. How about a old NHL'er with a great name: Dit Clapper, a HOF'er who played for the Bruins. Sounds like something you would catch from a dolphins cheerleader.
YOOOOOO Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Takeo Spikes....... One i havent seen yet.... Bennie Blades
ExWNYer Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Got any other names you think are cool? I liked these names when I was a kid: Boobie Clark - Bengals DB ('70s) Spider Lockhart - Giants S ('70s) Walker Gillette - Giants WR ('70s - University of Richmond) Spike Jones - Bills P ('70s)
Gavin in Va Beach Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 The coolest football name was given to OJ's offensive line - The Electric Company, 'cuz they turned on the Juice! Just because OJ turned into a murderer later in life shouldn't take away from how cool that name was...
BuffalOhio Posted October 15, 2004 Author Posted October 15, 2004 These were in an article in the Buffalo News today: Sam Bam Cunningham Freeman McNeil Mercury Morris Lydell Mitchell Emerson Boozer
Ned Flanders Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Bills had this guy in the mid 70's named Halvor Hagen. He was a reserve lineman, who, I think, played both ways. (Don't go there! ) Great name. Sounds like a Norwegian pro wrestler. Also liked this Saints WR from the same era: Jubilee Dunbar.
mary owen Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 a few years ago, Nebraska had a RB named Thunder Collins. I tend to think you are automatically cool if you are given that name at birth. EDITED just did a search on him. maybe he ain't so cool. apparently had some run in with the law for an assault and also had some NCAA violations. OOPS
PastaJoe Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Herb Mul-Key Otis Sistrunk Cledius Hunt Boomer Esiason
R. Rich Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 How about Mean Joe Green! Now that was a ball player. 70353[/snapback] He's still my all time favorite player.
BillsFanInTexas Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Dick Curl, Assistant Coach of the NJ Jets.
