This guy has got to be one of the biggest idiots on the face of the earth. That, and the laziest. Surely if he can afford to buy a gun, and own a home, he can afford a drill ... or maybe he was just too lazy to go get it.

Dumb freakin idiot.

"He was under the impression that everybody was inside the residence, that he knew where everybody was at,” said sheriff's department spokesman Maj. Robert Hills.

Everybody inside the residence? Ugh, I was hoping that man didn't have a chance to procreate. His dumbass genes may still be swimming in the gene pool :)

Why is it when a single person does something stupid, people seem to automatically use it as a reflection on an entire group of people? Would you make the same statement about "insert favorite ethnicity here"?

Dude was a moron. Whoopie. That's what you get when you force people's behaviour. Stupid people didn't wear seatbelts, helmets, not smoke, etc. They died. You libs want them to live. Welcome to getting your wish.

Officials were trying Tuesday to decide whether to file charges against a Missouri man who fatally shot his wife while trying to install a satellite TV system in the bedroom of their home.

Uhhh...what? This is open to question? He used a gun to drill a hole in a wall and killed someone. How is that not manslaughter or criminally negligent homocide?

!@#$in' stupid !@#$in' people.

They are questioning whether they have the budget to battle an army of NRA laywers who will claim that they are trying to take away a fundimental right.

He had to see it coming.

Democratic state Sen. Doug Jackson, D-Dickson, got his Stephen Colbert close-up on Thursday night when he was profiled as a "Difference Maker" for his proposal in the legislature to allow gun-permit holders to take their firearms into bars, or any place that serves alcohol.

As Colbert introduced the report, he said Jackson is out to put the "loon" back in "saloon."

Jackson explained his reasoning for the bill, saying "I think the right to keep and bear arms is as American as apple pie, baseball and hot dogs."

To explain his point further, the producers spliced in shots of Jackson at the gun range using his double-barreled piece to blast away at — you guessed it — an apple pie, a baseball and a hot dog.

And what piece of political comedy about guns in Tennessee bars would be complete without interviews of gun-toting self-identifying rednecks in bars, including one who demonstrated how to use a gun as a pool cue. The full video is available at comedycentral.com.

Tennessean.com lists other progressive legislation offered by Jackson, such as the "girls gone wild" bill, the "mental patients with guns" bill and the "rename the state fish" bill.
