stewy23 Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Regardless of how he did it, he's hurt. I don't care about the why's and what-not. He's a young, darn good player who is only going to get better. I hope this injury doesn't take away from his already promising career. Oh yeah, and I hope it doesn't affect him next season because he's on my fantasy team and I was thinking about using one of my "keeper" picks on him. (crossing fingers until August)
Acantha Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 True story. In that first Super Bowl I was living in a house with plaster and lath walls. When Thurman tore off that run late in the game to give us a shot, I was so damn proud that I wheeled around and punched the wall. Fortunately for me it was an interior doorway that was the only wall with drywall but that was unbeknownst to me at the time. Of course it was a topic of conversation for a few days and I was tempted to put a frame around the hole and call it a Thurman window. Of course all I did was cause more work for myself and just landed up patching it in. I was living in a dorm back during the homerun throw-forward. Had to patch 3 holes in the hallway wall the next week.
Tipster19 Posted April 1, 2008 Author Posted April 1, 2008 There seems that Jay Cutler has just about had his fill will Marshall and his antics. Denver has a history of turning on their WRs and Marshall might be the next one. Knowing how Shanahan doesn't flinch when it comes to making trades it wouldn't surprise me to see Marshall on the trade block. That little Irishman is one vindictive SOB and once you're in his doghouse it's just about impossible to get out of it.

MartyBall4Buffalo Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I'm not offering my left nut like the last time tipster said there was a possibility of Marshall being traded, but Marshall imho is the next in line of the games great receivers. If it were possible to get him a 2nd would be fair for this guy.

I never said for us to trade for Marshall this time, I was just talking about him being in the doghouse.

My question is: what's this millionaire doing with a CRT TV in his house? Doesn't he know that we are going to HDTV in 2009? He should've changed to a nice 65 inch HDTV Plasma TV by now. That alone makes the whole story fishy.

MartyBall4Buffalo Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Just how many left nuts do you own, anyway? As many as it takes for the Bills to land Brandon Marshall
Pete Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Marshall has found himself in the news a lot lately. He faces a DUI charge stemming from an October incident and had a spat with his girlfriend last year that landed him in court. And he was partying with Darrent Williams the night the cornerback was slain in a drive-by shooting on Jan. 1, 2006. Former teammate Javon Walker said Marshall sprayed champagne on some bar patrons, sparking a confrontation that preceded the shooting, which remains unsolved. "I've talked to him many times. I think a lot of people have. ... He knows he's running out of chances," Cutler said. "This wasn't like his DUI and other stuff he's had. It was an accident, but still, things like that can't happen. He knows it. "But like I told him, I said, 'Brandon, they're going to quit giving you chances and you're going to have to go somewhere else. And that's going to be a shame.'" Marshall said last week that he realizes he has to grow up and that his freak injury was a wakeup call. "His DUI was a wakeup call," Cutler retorted. "He's had many wakeup calls. I mean, he's been in [coach Mike] Shanahan's office many times. I've been up there with him. He said the same thing: 'This is a wakeup call. This is the last thing that's going to happen. Blah blah blah.' I mean, until he goes out and proves it, we'll see what happens.'"

Someone who puts himself in those kind of situations, and repeatedly makes poor social choices. Despite his tremendous skills on the field. I'm far from a choir boy, but I'll pass.
Buftex Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 ever punch a conventional tube television?? They do not break that easy. No sh--! I remember one snowy night in Brooklyn, about 20 years ago...my boss and I had gotten pretty sloshed at a bar, and were walking to the train station...we were feeling pretty good, when we came upon a large cabinet/style television, that someone had dumped on the curb for the garbage collectors to haul off...my boss says "on my God, I have always wanted to do this..." He takes about a 10 feet head start, and decides he is going to kick the tv screen in...wrong he was...I ended up having to escort him to the emergency room, as he fractured his foot and ankle in three places....I am not sure if it is a testament to the power of good old fashioned televisions, or to the power of a few too many Ardbeg's...btw, the screen didn't break...
