slothrop Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 ugh! the dumbing down of the USA continues. What was that old saying on PPP, oh yeah, Hotpocket nation. Same folks who thinks Obama hates America because he has an edgy minister.
RayFinkle Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Yet they continue to ram ratings monsters like Big Brother down our throats. Maybe if they gave it a decent time slot, unreal.
BillsFanNC Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 I'm not surprised. Oh well, I'll just go back to watching virtually nothing on TV besides sports.
Tux of Borg Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Si-Fi already owns the rerun rights to Jericho. I wouldn't be surprised if they pick up the show.
EndZoneCrew Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Maybe if they gave it a decent time slot, unreal. Seriously!! Tuesday at 10 pm....they wanted this to fail....fuggin BS!!!
BillsWatch Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Si-Fi already owns the rerun rights to Jericho. I wouldn't be surprised if they pick up the show. Not likely considering number of cast members and cost IMO.
RayFinkle Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Not likely considering number of cast members and cost IMO. They are dropping Battlestar Galactica this year. That show had a HUGE cast. You never, know, a guy can dream...
Brandon Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Si-Fi already owns the rerun rights to Jericho. I wouldn't be surprised if they pick up the show. Unfortunately, they also have a history of picking up the rerun rights to dead franchises and of killing their own popular Jericho-like cult favorites.
the_franchise Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 So if you tivo a show, does that help the ratings any? because with its time slot I would imagine people would record it and catch up on it...
RayFinkle Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 So if you tivo a show, does that help the ratings any? because with its time slot I would imagine people would record it and catch up on it... It is one of the most downloaded shows on the CBS website as well as Itunes. Still wasn't enough to save the show.
BillsWatch Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 So if you tivo a show, does that help the ratings any? because with its time slot I would imagine people would record it and catch up on it... It only makes a difference if you are a Nielson family. Otherwise only impact other viewers have is when they have something which "polls" users like 900 numbers or occasionally a commercial which you need a code from a TV to get something.
dib Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Gee, maybe another animated series that abounds with butt humor, or dancing with the stars, or are you smarter than a (drum roll) 6th grader
buckeyemike Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 This doesn't surprise me in the least. I think "Friday Night Lights" is next.
Bmwolf21 Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Ah, this sucks but isn't unexpected. My gut feeling is that CBS went into this abbreviated season with a mindset that nothing short of Idol-level ratings was going to save Jericho this year. But network TV is all about giving the people what they want (), so as long as idiots keeping tuning into Idol, Dancing with the Stars, the Dance Wars: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann and Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader in mass numbers, that's all the networks will give us.
ExiledInIllinois Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Never watched it... Just curious when I looked up info about the show... What happened to Alaska and Hawaii? ??
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 I wonder if I was the only one worried that Chris Jericho got injured...
apuszczalowski Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 I wonder if I was the only one worried that Chris Jericho got injured... well, he did take that big punch from the Big Show last week
Mike32282 Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 This doesn't surprise me in the least. I think "Friday Night Lights" is next. It better not be! That's a great show.
