gordon_g Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Chris Carr will be visiting tomorrow. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/7465
Fewell733 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 interesting. looks like they don't want to have to rely on rookie depth at corner if they don't have to. Probably a good plan considering how young our secondary is. He's appeared in every game the last 3 years which is impressive and means he stays healthy. Last year he was most productive. Looks like a pure depth guy at this point though.

NICE! Seems like a good guy to have on the team. Competition is ALWAYS good.

NICE! Seems like a good guy to have on the team. Competition is ALWAYS good. Isn't this the guy that has a TON of speed that also is in their return game? If so, I say Yes! I am surprised actually the Raiders have not resigned him but I guess their money is going everywhere (and I mean, EVERYwhere) else...this guy is not a great corner, but he would be decent depth and could spell McGee in returns which might help McGee's effectiveness on D also.
Fewell733 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Jim Leonhard replacement maybe? Did we tender him or not? I don't remember, but he doesn't appear on the Bills depth chart. played FS at Boise State. His timed speed was pedestrian 4.62 in the 40, but that's not really what counts anymore since he has demonstrated his speed at the pro-level.
gobills82 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I don't see anywhere where it says he's visiting Buffalo...
RayFinkle Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I don't see anywhere where it says he's visiting Buffalo... gordong is our resident inside info guy.
JinWPB Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Well I don't know how much he will help the team but he sure is fast.
K-Gun10 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Well I don't know how much he will help the team but he sure is fast. Well we do need ST players now that we lost some.
Christopher Capolupo Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I don't see anywhere where it says he's visiting Buffalo... NEVER and I mean NEVER question gordong's information..... P.S. Welcome to the board
BeastMode54 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Well I don't know how much he will help the team but he sure is fast. Not sure if you're allowed to bring a car onto the field. lol, good find
Kelly the Dog Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Ton of speed. Pretty damn good return man. Not had much chance at corner but he doesn't seem to have much interest in him. He would be our #5, but probably better than Dustin Fox. I feel strong both ways about this, because I think McGee is a fabulous KR, but we may want to start giving him some time off. Chris Carr is good at that.
BeastMode54 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 chris brown of bb.com just confirmed the chris carr visit. Man gordong is good!
BuffaloBilliever Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 ... Touche Gordong. Just got the text...
BeastMode54 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 since he is considered restricted, what would we have to give up?
gobills82 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 since he is considered restricted, what would we have to give up? Nothing. He is a low tender RFA. No draft picks would have to be given up.
richNjoisy Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 since he is considered restricted, what would we have to give up? he's free - he was undrafted. Carr is a non-compensation restricted free agent, so any team that signs him will not owe the Raiders a draft pick. (Yahoo! Sports)
BeastMode54 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 That's great news. I think he'd be a good pickup, if only to bolster depth and return ability.
