Virgil Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3295344 I don't know what's the fair market, but I definitely would have given up a 2nd for him
Tipster19 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3295344 I don't know what's the fair market, but I definitely would have given up a 2nd for him I have to agree with you there. That's disappointing. All the reports that I have been reading gave me the impression that Hall would have done just about anything to get out of Atlanta. I hope that it was more about team chemistry rather than the dollars.
Max997 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 only a second? I think Atlanta was lucky to get that...not that Hall isnt worth it but with the way trades have gone Im surprised they got that and not surprised they didnt get a first
The Tomcat Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Makes me believe they will be looking to trade down and pick up another pick
Max997 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 teams just dont want to trade into the top 5 anymore, the cost is too much salary wise as well as the cost of moving up
FightClub Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3295344 I don't know what's the fair market, but I definitely would have given up a 2nd for him Totally disagree. I am here in Atlanta and trading for him would be like trading for T.O. This is a player I am not interested in having on my favorite team. More than that, he would create lockerroom strife within a year. It won't be noticed on the Raiders because the inmates are running the asylum over there anyway, but no way should he have been a Bill for any price
Max997 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Warrick Dunn was on sirius radio this week and with all that happened to the Falcons last year couldnt say enough good things about Hall
ans4e64 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Character aside, if the Bills wanted Hall, the 2nd rounder wasn't the problem, it was the huge contract the Raiders are reportedly going to sign him to.
Tim Anderson's Lunch Pail Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Totally disagree. I am here in Atlanta and trading for him would be like trading for T.O. It won't be noticed on the Raiders because the inmates are running the asylum over there anyway, but no way should he have been a Bill for any price Agreed. I'm really not sure if Hall would have been willing to become a Bill, but he certainly would not have been wanted by the Bills.
JPicc2114 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Raiders Corners... Deangelo Hall and Asomuga damn thats pretty good
K-Gun10 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Character aside, if the Bills wanted Hall, the 2nd rounder wasn't the problem, it was the huge contract the Raiders are reportedly going to sign him to. Good you know what that means right???????? they will have to make cuts, and this board will go in a frenzy.
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 The Raiders pick ahead of the Bills in round two. Buffalo would of had to give up their first to outbid them.
Chandler#81 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 The Raiders pick ahead of the Bills in round two. Buffalo would of had to give up their first to outbid them. Right. The Raiders 2nd pick is the 34th overall pick. Pretty damn close to a 1st rounder..
DrDawkinstein Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 would never trade for DeAngelo Hall. one of the most selfish players in the league.
Steely Dan Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Totally disagree. I am here in Atlanta and trading for him would be like trading for T.O. This is a player I am not interested in having on my favorite team. More than that, he would create lockerroom strife within a year. It won't be noticed on the Raiders because the inmates are running the asylum over there anyway, but no way should he have been a Bill for any price Agreed. For what he'll want financially the Bills could sign two or more FA's that would help the team more.
silvermike Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Read the article: The Raiders source said the deal is expected to pay Hall just below what Asante Samuel signed with the Eagles. Samuel signed a six-year deal worth a reported $57 million, with$20 million guaranteed. If we were going to pay him that, we might as well have signed Samuel himself, or kept Nate.
Sisyphean Bills Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 and DeAngelo was only interested in winning.
