rockpile
http://www.newstimes.com/ci_8557051 DANBURY -- Take one early morning high school math class. Add a drowsy student who may have been up late the night before. Multiply it by the sound of the teacher's hand slamming down on the sleeping scholar's desk. What do you get? A lawsuit -- or at least the possibility of one. When I was in high school, the teacher would have slammed his head, and if he complained, the response would have been "Well, stay wake!" the_franchise
When I was in High School, the teacher would have kicked the bottom of your desk, shooting your head back and sitting you up. And would say the same thing.
justnzane
sh--, I have slammed the desk on kids when they are sleeping... it pisses me off and it is disrespectful when i have a certain student who is asleep in the middle of the day twice a week on average
mcjeff215
Are nuns still allowed to whack you in Catholic school? We need more of that.
ExiledInIllinois
"You want fries with that" for who? The teacher or the child, they both deserve it. Sure the child was being disrespectful... The teacher was just as... Tit for tat usually makes one a bigger rat. It is all fun and games until somebody gets hurt... Hurt feeling out of disrespect or hurt eardrums. Wouldn't it have been great if the teach slammed the child's head back and turn them into a quadraplegic... No different than shaking an infant, IMO. Of course the child/infant HAS to be doing it just to piss someone off! /sarcasm off.

Wonder what you would do with a screaming infant after having worked the graveyard shift?... There are better ways to handle it...
