On my way up to the office today, I dropped my wallet full of credit cards and around $300 in cash. I don't know if it was in the parking deck or right outside the office door.

 

Spent a long time looking for it. Went to building security. Someone actually turned the thing in without a dollar missing.

 

How often does that happen? Lucky lucky.

One of the guys I work with found $80 on the sidewalk out in front of our building, and turned it in to security. They took his name and number in case whomever claimed it wanted to thank him. A week later, security calls to say that no one had come to claim it, so if he wanted the money he could have it. I was surprised that 1) no one had come to claim it 2) security themselves did not keep it

 

There still is good in the world if you look around.

just like the kids that found all the payoff tickets. Honesty is the best policy. I think they were on Letterman too.
