mcjeff215 Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 On my way up to the office today, I dropped my wallet full of credit cards and around $300 in cash. I don't know if it was in the parking deck or right outside the office door. Spent a long time looking for it. Went to building security. Someone actually turned the thing in without a dollar missing. How often does that happen? Lucky lucky. -Jeff
#89 Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 Hopefully they left a name so you can give them a thank you.
Just Jack Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 One of the guys I work with found $80 on the sidewalk out in front of our building, and turned it in to security. They took his name and number in case whomever claimed it wanted to thank him. A week later, security calls to say that no one had come to claim it, so if he wanted the money he could have it. I was surprised that 1) no one had come to claim it 2) security themselves did not keep it There still is good in the world if you look around.
#89 Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 just like the kids that found all the payoff tickets. Honesty is the best policy. I think they were on Letterman too.
