Just Jack
He didn't really write it.... "Jones worked on several drafts of the letter with his attorneys before giving final approval on Thursday."
Kelly the Dog
I like the part in the article that his lawyer said "the words he wrote came from his heart" in the next sentence after Pacman "gave his approval" for the letter.
RJsackedagain
Mortsen is reporting that he's 56 percent certain Pacman wrote the letter on his own and John Clayton is reporting that Mort is reporting he's 56 percent certain Pacman wrote the letter on his own. .... Looks like all we need is a dumb remark from Salisbury to make it official

Looks like all we need is a dumb remark from Salisbury to make it official Why do we feel the need to poke fun at Jones? He has bared his soul to us and apologized for his past behavior. He's going to clean up his life and get his degree. Recent events should remind us all that life is short. Let's not spend our time picking nits, let's celebrate the transformation of Packman Jones. nemhoff
Sounds like Pac figured out that he may get kicked out of football for good...oops, time to be good for a while.
Saint Doug
Taking a page out of Al Wilson's book? He needs to become a little bit more creative. This just doesn't come across as sincere.

Great post, Bb. I've grown weary of all the MTV-in-your-face-smackdown-commentary in cyberland. Everybody ripping on everybody else for no good reason. Tearing down is so much easier than building up and we've become lazy in that regard. Thanks for the reminder. GO BILLS!!!
Peter
Florio said that Pacman wrote about as much of that letter as he did of the Bible.
Ramius
"The basis of the appeal … will be to clarify some of the facts and address the unprecedented punishment that was imposed,'' Jones wrote in the letter. I call bull sh--. No way pacman can spell, or even knows the meaning of "unprecedented", "imposed", or "the".

Personally, I could care less about Pacman and whether or not he plays football again. But ultimately, it'll be his actions, not his (or someone elses) words that will sway others to support him. He remains a thug until he proves otherwise. Show me, Pacman, don't tell me.
H2o
Wasn't the guy spotted in a casino out in Vegas 3 or 4 days after his meeting with Goodell? I'm not saying the NFL conglomerate should be able to regulate these people's lives or anything, but it doesn't seem like a place that a guy with his history with money should be. Gambling is NOT illegal, but this guy's money and attitude towards having it is what has caused 90% of his problems in life.
CJPearl2
Florio said that Pacman wrote about as much of that letter as he did of the Bible. I saw that. But my favorite part of Florio's article was this: "The giveaway is the semicolon in the last paragraph. Does Pacman Jones use a semicolon? Heck, he probably thinks the word refers to a medical condition." http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm

JoeF
Hes got a lot of talent but hasn't shown a conscience or any morals. I hope he can turn his life around. I really don't care if he wrote the letter or not..I just hope the sentiment is true. Maybe a few less thugs and a few more reformed thugs will help the human condition a bit. One thing is for sure...one more screw up for him in Goddell's NFL means the death penalty.
