Jones would be a solid #2 back for most teams.
Max997 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 there is a reason Barber got all the important carries for the cowboys the last two years....Jones seems to always be taken down by the first guy and unless he breaks a big run really doesnt perform as a #1 back should I didnt like him coming out of college and I still dont like him M.Lynch is the answer

Jones is a decent back, but I agree with some of the criticism others have mentioned regarding him. I wouldn't want to give up more than 1 of our 3rds for him. IMO it's unlikely that Dallas would settle for that little. If not I'd rather see us take a back with our 2nd pick, unless AP happens to slide to us at 12 (and that's just not going to happen).
