Here's a story on Adrian Peterson from Yahoo.

Id love to have him in a Bills uniform next year.

Also, I tend to think certain teams (and I hope the Bills are one of them so they fall to him or in trade range for him) may be hyping up the "damaged goods" angle. An ankle and collar bone injury aren't that bad. Remember Thurman Thomas when he was coming out? He had a serious knee injury and look how he turned out.

I think AP can be a special back, and Id love him as a Bill.

Personally, I agree with you. I think that this will only fuel him even, like it did with Thurman Thomas.

I just checked out some more recent mock drafts and there was some good news and some bad news. The good news is that most of the "experts" had him slipping past Detroit and Cleveland. The bad news is that most of them had Minnesota, Atlanta and Houston taking him. If we want him then I think that it would be a good idea to have the Redskins on speed dial.

Thurman Thomas never broke his collar bone by diving into the endzone.

Comparing Thurman's injury to Peterson's injuries is a bit of a stretch.

TT blew out his knee in his Junior year. At that time, knee reconstruction was not as advanced as now. Teams were tentative about how well TT's knee would hold up, even after TT ran for 1600+ yards during his Senior season on said "bad knee".

AP' problems stem from the fact he has missed significant playing time because of different injuries at the college level. In the pro's, on average, defensive players are bigger, faster, and hit harder.

IMHO Peterson will be a superstar in this league.....and would be well worth trading up for.

He will make Losman, our offensive lineman and even our defense(by staying off the field) better by being in the lineup.

This could not be said about McGahee.

I love the fact the he has been referred to as the most competitive player in this draft....

I think Bills fans would love to see that fire again from the RB position.

Why does everyone think we're picking up Adrian Peterson/Marshawn Lynch/Patrick Willis/Leon Hall?

It's evident that with the 12th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, we pick up Trent Edwards from Stanford.

Len Pasquarelli, John Clayton, and all of ESPN say JP is an incompitant little child who shouldn't even be in the AFL.

Trent Edwards my friends...

Peterson's injuries sound serious and really not worth taking a risk on, However, his numbers have been so good that I think the possibility he can heal from and old ankle injury and a collarbone break will be enough to allow somebody and some team to talk themselves into the fact that given their own superior skills and knowledge they can "fix" Peterson's problems and minimize that risk.

12 spots is simply too many teams for Peterson to have to fall through before some legend in his own mind with a big ego convinces himself and his team that choosing Peterson is the right thing to do (they may be right or they may be wrong). However, I think the Bills braintrust would have to not only have such a true believer, but actually take and give him the time to talk themselves into being secure with this pick.

I think the chances of him dropping to #12 are possible but really too small for the Bills to devote a bunch of time to getting comfy picking him and if he were to actually drop to 12 I doubt we would have had the conversations necessary to get everybody comfortable with pulling the trigger.

:devil::devil:

So now you're in the war room. I could deal with the longwinded arguments against picking P. Wil (although your agenda is obvious, you want POZ). But this is just ridiculous, have you even seen AD run? The guy is a monster, if by some crazy series of events AD does fall in our lap at 12 I think the Bills will grab him in a heart beat. He will by far be the "Best Player on The Board" at that point, injuries or not.

And yes it's AD (for All Day) not AP...OY

No doubt that there is alot of decisions to weigh up before you select someone so high in the draft. There's probably an awful lot of angles that football personnel have to look at that the average fan aren't even aware of.

Thas why i think he may be available at 12 and i sure hope he is.

We have good coaches that can fix his style of running. look why they did with JP. half this board was ready to dump him last year and now he can be an elite Qb IMO. If he gets past Arizona, Look for AP in a bills uni next year.
