erynthered Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 How did Buffalo fare from this storm ? A lot better than that girl that only earned 2 bucks.
gmac17 Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 we had to sandbag our building here in hoboken. didn't go to work today - whole block flooded. a friend drove his 1 year old mercedes through about 8 inches of water, stalled and the cold water evidently cracked his engine block. he will never buy a mercedes again....
Pete Posted April 17, 2007 Author Posted April 17, 2007 we had to sandbag our building here in hoboken. didn't go to work today - whole block flooded. a friend drove his 1 year old mercedes through about 8 inches of water, stalled and the cold water evidently cracked his engine block. he will never buy a mercedes again.... some idiot tried to do that in Essex. The car is still in water over a foot deep from the river. Lights were on it last night when I walked by. Almost a Darwin nominee
gmac17 Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 the funny part was that is was only 8 inches - any car should be able to drive through it. So as all the honda civics are flying through, his $50,000 car stalls and gets ruined...
RU5781 Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 We got almost 8 inches where I am. My commute home from work normally takes 3o min, yesterday it took about 3 hours. My road has this massive flood, as two cars are stuck with water up to their windshield. It's amazing.
beerme1 Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 A little rain, but no issues. A foot of snow in some higherelevations some 50 miles or so away. Compared to the rest of the people we had San Diego like weather.
