My parents were out of the country when those tickets went on sale, and they asked me to pick them up a pair. I even went to Ticketmaster weeks in advance and set up a text message reminder for the tickets. At 4:50pm, I got the text message saying tickets would be for sale in 10 minutes, at 5pm. I wasn't at home, but logged on at probably 5:30pm...Zero tickets to be had.

I know Steely Dan and while I'm not a HUGE fan, I know he has a following...The venue is small, but I was not expecting a sellout like that...

I would guess that if they drop 10-20 large at the baccarat table, they'll probably be comp'd to the concert.

HE? Where's the head-shaking smiley.

That's pretty funny, Smokey.

BTW, keep checking as tickets sometimes get "freed up" especially a week or so before the gig. Also, your parents might try going the "disabled" route. They hold tickets for the disabled. One of your parents may have to go in a wheelchair...but, it's a seat...right?

hahaha, don't worry, I know Steely Dan isn't a "he," I did insert as a joke.....As for my parents, I tried my best...They can figure it out from here....

A lot of the big summer tour announcements should be popping up pretty soon....Anybody heard of some other good shows on the way?

Hah! That reminds me of another of my 'favourite' shows - the Stones' "Steel Wheelchairs" tour!

One of my favorite Stones jokes.

BTW, The free Derek Trucks' Band concert in NT was a good time. You were drunk, though.

Was I? I can't remember!

(Just kidding...I remember both - a great concert and being drunk!!)

Oh...Skynyrd is playing at the Casino too - probably not as good as they were in '75 though, now that they're dead and all that.

I was on the west coast when they went on sale, and I was told they went on sale at 10 am est. I got up at 6:50 am, a little hung over mind you, and got two pretty decent tickets. Well, I get an email about 3 weeks ago telling me my tickets are being printed and there's a facsimile of the tickets on the email. Lo and behold, I bought tickets for the night before at Turning Stone CAsino!!

Damn beer!! Oh well, i can always go early and play some golf. Who knows, maybe Don and Walt will need a 4th...

Not the first, but U2 @ Saratoga Raceway 1992. Zoo Tv outside broadcast, unreal show.

Second would have to be Dire Straits at the war memorial in Syracuse.

that was a hell of a show, started the show with the band walking down the center aisle beating a drum...Peter and Tony Levin and the rest of the boys were hanging outside the back of the sheas afterwards, they were taking off for letchworth to do some camping...my buddy and i stood out there with them for about an hour just shootin the bull...good times...good times!

sheas was such good place for show.

big enough to have killer light shows.

small enough to see the bands faces.

and great sound!
