Thailog80 Posted October 13, 2004 Author Posted October 13, 2004 Sounds like the stevestojan hit the fan.
Thailog80 Posted October 13, 2004 Author Posted October 13, 2004 Trade him to Oakland for Jerry Rice.
CosmicBills Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Trade him to Oakland for Jerry Rice. 68340 Jerry is supposedly about to be traded. Could it be a 3 team deal?
BF_in_Indiana Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 HAHA the implosion has begun. Has TD been told to clean out his office yet?
Buftex Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Hmmm, very strange. It must be for something other than on the field performance. He hasn't done much on the field, but neither has Josh Reed. It seems to me, if the Bills were just looking to trade a receiver, to get something in return, Josh Reed would be better trade bate, albeit only slightly, given his age. In the end, Shaw has been sort of frustrating. He can make some great plays, and make some dreadful mistakes. Strange move though, all and all. Does anyone know if Shaw played in Pittsburgh while Mularkey was there? Could it be an old grudege? I dunno, just trying to make sense of this...
Bill from NYC Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Great!!! Too much showboating, too many drops, not enough receptions, more cap dollars for 05. We will see if any team in the NFL thinks he is worth a 7th round pick. My guess his they will have to cut him due to lack of interest. This is interesting. Could this mean MM is standing up to TD just a little instead of being a complete puppet? All in all, I am liking it.
Thailog80 Posted October 13, 2004 Author Posted October 13, 2004 Jerry is supposedly about to be traded. Could it be a 3 team deal? 68341 He is from California.
silvermike Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 They said 1:00 - it's 1:17. I think it's odd that they gave him that deadline - be traded by 1? There's no deadline there, is there?
CosmicBills Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 He is from California. 68346 Makes sense. I don't see Buffalo trading Shaw for Rice (doesn't really add much), but I could see them bringing in another team who wants Rice, getting a player from them and shipping Shaw to Oakland... Just speculating of course.
Bossman Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Great!! Finally Buffalo has seen why they are 0 for the season. It's Bobby Shaw!! Now we can concentrate on winning the next 12 games and make the playoffs. TD has seen the light and saved his job with this awsome move!!
34-78-83 Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 I don't see what this move accomplishes other than if it was some sort of disciplinary action. Color me confused until further notice. Good news for Aiken though :-)
TigerJ Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Strange indeed. I don't have a clue what Buffalo is planning with this.

Am I missing sarcasm or something? Aside from the embarrassing pass-in-the-back against the Jets, Shaw has been one of our more consistent receivers. The guy made clutch 3rd down catches last year. But showboating? I don't recall him ever showboating, much less showboating too much. This year, he seems to be the odd man out. Reed and Aiken seem to be battling for 3rd WR time, which means Shaw may be moving down to the 5th spot. My guess is that Shaw expressed frustration with this, and perhaps coupled with his comments to the media, that may have been TD's cue to give the guy a shot with someone else.
Rico Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Good, I wanted a sacrifice! I can think of other players I'd rather see leave town, but hopefully he is only the first to go. JUST SAY NO TO MISFIT BILLS, TD!!!

Charles
BF_in_Indiana Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Yeah, I wonder if we can submit lists of players we want sent packing to TD???? I've got a LONG LIST.
Thailog80 Posted October 13, 2004 Author Posted October 13, 2004 he'll catch on somewhere else...Titans,maybe? Charles 68372 I'll say he lands in NE.
