The Dean Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 1pm Eastern Sabres at Flyers. The one totally meaningless game of the year for the Swords, and it's on free national TV. NBC probably thought they really had something here. BTW, this game is not TOTALLY meaningless. If the Sabres suffer a serious injury, I guess the game becomes meaningful, after all.
Just Jack Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 BTW, this game is not TOTALLY meaningless. If the Sabres suffer a serious injury, I guess the game becomes meaningful, after all. If they do, you'll be known as "Nostradammit" until Bills Training Camp opens.
Taro T Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Can they just forfeit the game? The Phlyers probably beat them to it.
Golden Wheels Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 I hope they put 6 or 7 goals past Marty Biron.
eball Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 It's not important from a playoff standpoint, but a win would break the following Sabres' regular season records: # of road wins in a season (currently tied w/ last year's team at 25) # of total wins in a season (53 this year is already the record, but could add to it) # of points in a season (74-75 team also had 113) Again, those records aren't important, but why back off now? The PP and PK still need work, particularly w/ Timmah back in the lineup. So what if Conklin gets the start; that's no big deal. I don't see Ruff letting them "take it easy" in this one.
LewPort71 Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 It seems that many of the NBC telecasts this year involved the Flyers.... One question, Why?
Live&DieBillsFootball Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 This was the only High Def Sabres game of the year for those with Time Warner Cable. Hockey in HD is awesome. When are we going to get MSG in HD? Other parts of the country get Versus in HD too, but not on TW. Sucks!
