Going to Clearwater Beach, FL.....

Recommended Posts

I will be in Clearwater Beach Florida all next week and i was wondering if anyone knew where I could watch the Sabres games (bar/restaurant)- particularly the playoff games! Someone told me of a few places to watch the games but I can't remember where they said to go. I would love to watch it with other Sabres fans.

Does anyone have any advice??? Anyone know if any places has NHL center ice? Thanks.

Clearwater is across the bay from Tampa on the Courtney Cambpell. If you can get to Tampa, do it, because you will get to go to one of the best Sabres Bars not in Buffalo. It is right across from the Hockey Arena( St. Petersburg Times Arena) and it's called Dave Andreychuck's grille. My Uncle and I have each been there separately and we both highly recommend it. He was there this year and said it is practically 100% Sabres fans on hockey nights. However, it's about 30-45 mins(traffic) away from Clearwater, and a huge area is know as "clearwater".

If you go have fun - and good luck you only have to worry about cops halfway on the bridge - one of the coolest drives in the country - you'll see why...

I was just in Clearwater 2 weeks ago for Phillies spring training...there is a place called Kelly's right on the main street in town, cant remember the name but its the same street the Hilton is on. They have a lot of TVs but its incredibly smokey in there. There is a peer bar down in the other direction but I cant remember the name of it but its the best late night place down there. Outside bar with flatscreens

there are also a couple of Frenchy's bars down there but I dont know if they have satellite or not

it was hotter then normal for this time of year when I was down there, actually hit 90 one day but the temp is awesome at night, we walked everywhere

Tampa would def be the place to go and we wanted to but didnt want to risk the drive...we were down there for a buddies bachelor party so we were drinking early everyday

great time, hated coming back...Im convinced that I need to move somewhere warm, I get back and 40 degrees feels like ten below

Thanks for all of the info! I can't wait to get the hell out of this weather. 6 inches of snow today just north of Syracuse.

Try the Palm Pavillion - Great outdoor place on the beach and it has many TVs - Frenchy's will aslo have the games -
