JoeF Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 a team, and nothing gets done before the player leaves? Opinions needed. Is he gone? He flew in on a private jet--I assume leaving is flexible. He could be hanging with JP and Evans and the Offensive Line right now -- maybe they went to the Sabres game...

Kelly the Dog Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 The basic answer is no, it's not automatically a bad sign. Especially true in this case, where he is not an UFA and there are two parties to agree with (compensation in trade plus contract) instead of one. No team is going to make a trade for a player for this asking price without agreeing with the agent and player first on the contract extension.

Griff28 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 No - but it's a bad sign when a player visits from San Diego in April and it snows 5 inches while he's here.

If he wants to stay a backup in San Diego, you are correct. Or he might look at what bad weather does to a good back's stats and think...LET IT SNOW!
