JoeF Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 http://www.buffalonews.com/111/story/46650.html Sorry Folks...back to talking about the draft...
scribo Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 But, but, but that other thread said it "was official" tat Turner was in Buffalo. I feel lied to and used.
Sketch Soland Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 It's a conspiracy, I tell ya. They want to keep us down! It's those damn Arabs and the Russkies and A.J. Smith and a Labrador Retriever Cyborg Puppy from Iceland that is fluent in International Relations and Salary Cap Machinations.
BUFFALOTONE Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 In other words he agreed to Tennesses contract and will not visit the armpit of the north. Lets sign Barlow.
IDBillzFan Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Translation: My agent is hammering out a deal with Tennessee, so please stand by.
JoeF Posted April 4, 2007 Author Posted April 4, 2007 Translation: My agent is hammering out a deal with Tennessee, so please stand by. Added quotes around "Flight Issues" for emphasis...I believe you are correct sir...
bobblehead Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 But, but, but that other thread said it "was official" tat Turner was in Buffalo. I feel lied to and used. Nah, you just fell victim to an overzealous thread starter who could not grasp the complexities between the words "is" and "will be". Or some sh-- like that.
scribo Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 The things is that it is not only up to Turner. The Chargers have just as much say in where he ends up. With the Bills having higher draft picks, I woud think the Bills are in the this race as long as they want to be -- flight issues be damned.
RayFinkle Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Corey Dillon already used this excuse in regards to his first visit to Buffalo. Couldn't they come up with something new like he ate some bad meatloaf or something?
The Dean Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Translation: My agent is hammering out a deal with Tennessee, so please stand by. Sounds about right. Back to the old "wait and see".
Tipster19 Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Turner goes and gets a physical in Tennessee, Tennessee speaks to San Diego for contract perimeters, Dillion postpones his visit, Turner runs into "flight issues" and we all got our thumbs up our ass. Hmm, what could this mean?
ROCCEO Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Added quotes around "Flight Issues" for emphasis...I believe you are correct sir... Sounds like BS to me. What are "flight issues"? they could be one of a few things: 1-Weather: implausable, the radar around tennessee is totally clear. 2-Airline mishap: possible but unlikely. 3-"my agent thinks he can sqeeze some more juice out of these guys":LIKELY 4-"if we miss the flight itll look like something is getting done sot hat when I do get to buffalo theres a sense of urgency and depseration on their behalf"-MORE LIKELY
1billsfan Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Gee, looks like yet another runningback who has goosebumps at the thought being a Buffalo Bill... McGahee Dillon Turner This excuse has horsesh!t written all over it. Yet another reason people should dump all of the "we want Turner" talk and embrace Marshawn Lynch as the next Bills runningback. .
Cornerville Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 What the hell is wrong with these players??? George Siefert had NO problems getting here....and he is TWICE their age!!!
IDBillzFan Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Corey Dillon already used this excuse. Couldn't they come up with something new like he ate some bad meatloaf or something? Oh my god, we were wrong all along. Michael Turner isn't another Lamont Jordan. He's another Corey Dillon! I mean, look at the similarities: Turner was coming to Buffalo and his flight got delayed. Dillon was going to Tennessee and his flight got delayed. Turner was a backup running back. Dillon was a backup running back. Turner had blue in his uniform. Dillon had blue in his uniform. Turner is an unproven starter in the NFL. Dillon is an unproven starter in the CFL. Coincidence?

You forgot to add that they both don't want to come to Buffalo.
Art in PNS Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 In other words he agreed to Tennesses contract and will not visit the armpit of the north. Lets sign Barlow. Armpit of the North I thought he was going to Buffalo not Newark !!!!!!!!!!!
