The Dean Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Yeah, but the PP kill was actually quite good, and we had a ton of penalties. The PP kill was awesome. The effort was great. But, the penalties have to come down. That s#it won't flush come playoff time.
Buftex Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 True, but if you're looking for things to discount an accomplishment, you also could look at the '75 team playing 8 games against expansion teams created from the dregs of the league which would truly have had trouble beating the Habs farm team. And while this year's team gets 4 vs. Filly, they don't get 4 each against a handful of horrible Whoa, wasn't trying to make it a negative post...just pointing out what most here would say if I hadn't! Personally, I would be thrilled to see the Sabres finish with 114.
Spun Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 That was one of the Sabres best games of the season. Total team effort! The penalty killing was the best I have seen all year. Miller deserved a shutout. The Pens goal was garbage. He knew what he was doing. Nice acting job. I hope Ruff has the Sabres taking their remaining opponents seriously. The Eastern Conference is stronger than the West and most likely the Northeast is the toughest division. The Canes are done. In one game in 74-75 the Sabres beat the Capitals 14 - 2. Martin four, Perreault three.
