The #12 pick should be about $13+ million/5 year deal.

If Briggs or Turner get a new contract with another team would anyone have an idea about how much they might get in their 1st year of the contract? I don't know how or where to find this out but I'd be curious to know. If an approximate figure could be determined than maybe we could gauge if a trade for either of them could actually work. Maybe clumping platelets could shed some light on this. Anyways, thanks.

I found these couple of links that got me start wondering if a trade down could be feasible.

I would put my soul against a Snickers Bar that.........

1. Briggs gets around a 7 year 50 mil deal

and

2. Turner gets a 7 year 40 mil deal

That my friend is what I think they will get...not what they should get......escpecially Turner....He has proved nothing as of yet!

Briggs turned down a 6 year 33 mil contract before last year

Who knows how that contract was structured. It could have had very little guaranteed money and a ton of money backloaded.

I think you'll see Turner sign for what Gore got extended for: 6 yrs/~30 million.
