(Denver needs DT help, so they draft Amobi Okoye). Pos is a leader and a beast. He will be a starter from day 1. Our starting linebackers: Paul Posluszny, Angelo Crowell, Keith Ellison. 2a.) Antonio Pittman RB http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/pittman_antonio He is a speedy, shifty back with incredible toughness. He and the A-Train would create an excellent combination of power and speed. 2b.) Craig Davis WR http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/davis_craig He is a big, physical WR who will compete for the #2 spot. 3a.) Fred Bennett CB http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/bennett_fred He has good size and could play in either zone or man. He will add much needed depth to the corner spot. 3b.) Scott Chandler TE http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/chandler_scott The Bills have never had a premiere TE prospect. Right now, their TEs are very average: Royal can block, but his recieving ability is mediocre, Cieslak will be or FB, and Everett is looking like a bust. 4.) He is the premier MLB in the draft who fits the cover-2 to a T.

The Dean Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 3a.) Fred Bennett CBhttp://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/bennett_fred He has good size and could play in either zone or man. He will add much needed depth to the corner spot. Nice job, overall. Of course, in a 7-round mock this far away from the draft, you'll be lucky if 1 or two of your Bills predictions comes true. Still, i like the picks. I have a question re: Fred Bennet. Have you seen him play much (I have not). I LOVE the scouting reports on him...well...mostly. On your NFL.com link, his negatives are REALLY bad negatives, if true. I'm talking about the toughness and willingness to hit: Despite Bennett's size, he lacks toughness versus the run. Will react to the run and come up to support, but is more than willing to stand and let others do the dirty work. Rarely takes on blocks, choosing to run around them. No missed tackles on the games viewed, but tends to duck his head and swipe at the ball-carrier's feet rather than squaring up and driving his opponent to the ground. Also, I was not happy to read this (re: Pittman): ...is not the type who puts in extra hours watching film It may just be a throw-away one-liner, or a sign of bigger issues.

I see Chandler as the Reimersma type--adding a receiving threat and height (6’7”, 270). We already have Murphy as depth at TE, who has all that, but Chandler is supposed to be much better. We'll see.

Also, David Irons will be a 25 year old rookie!!
billybob Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Jarrett (6-4, 214) ran his 40s in 4.67 and 4.62 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.20 and the three-cone drill in 7.28. He also had a 36½-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-1 broad jump- lets give him a 4.64 kinda slow - Jarrett and Rice moving down - Steve Smith, Craig Davis moving up- as for David Irons being 25 who cares - it's not like the old days when we owned these guys forever, we own them for one contract usually 4 years long after that they are free agents up for bid.

Steely Dan Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 The guy I'd like to see Buffalo grab anyone who will probably be available with the 12th pick is Adam Carriker. Big guy good against the run and can play any position on the line.
