But perhaps Marv just wants to build a new leadership core based on younger guys who'll be here for 3-4 years, rather than having young players look to older vets for leadership. Vets on ANY team want to win NOW, as their biological clock is ticking. That's why they may have been cool to JP, who clearly was getting on-the-job training, or to the release of players like TV, LF and NC, who're clearly good enough to "win now" with, as opposed to going with younger players who are still developing.
