CJPearl2 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 He just accepted an invite to attend the draft live and accepted. He must have some knowledge that he will be picked in the top 5, or no lower than top 8. And, before you cite Aaron Rodgers' being there and going 23rd or something, realize that he was a fluke and should never have been there in the first place. No way a player accepts an invite to attend live if he has a chance of falling to 12.
ndirish1978 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Yeah players outside the top 5 never go to the draft. NEVER!!
Tortured Soul Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 It happens all the time. Jimmy Kennedy and that running back from Northwestern immediately pop to mind - and I've never even watched the draft.
CJPearl2 Posted March 26, 2007 Author Posted March 26, 2007 In the last 4 or 5 years, besides Aaron Rodgers, did any other "invited" players drop past 12?
BuckeyeBill Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 In the last 4 or 5 years, besides Aaron Rodgers, did any other "invited" players drop past 12? Wasn't Chris Simms sitting around until round 2?

BoondckCL Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 In the last 4 or 5 years, besides Aaron Rodgers, did any other "invited" players drop past 12? Didn't Daunte Cullpepper fall that far?
