The Senator Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Scientists to this day have yet to prove it is possible to play Iggy Pop's "You're Pretty Face Is Going to Hell" too loudly or too often. I need it all honey that's no lie I need a lover with a alibi Looks like Iggy's face is already there! Iggy Pop
The Dean Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 We are in complete agreement on this subject, Joseph. You could make the case that the Ramones were/are the greatest Rock and Roll band of all time. They were equally as proficient in cranking out pop masterpieces as the Beatles, and did it for a far longer period of time. For THIS you crawl out of your hole?
Johnny Coli Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 For THIS you crawl out of your hole? Anarchy will be six weeks early this year.
Bungee Jumper Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Three pages, and not one reference to the greatest band of the '70s: Boston. What, are you people deaf?
VABills Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Three pages, and not one reference to the greatest band of the '70s: Boston. What, are you people deaf? Are you blind? http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?s=&am...st&p=952976
Chilly Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Jethro Tull? Rush? Traffic? ELO? ELP? yuckkk! You don't like Jethro Tull?! Thats it, I don't know you anymore. Oh, and The Band was awesome.
rockpile Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 I'll give you those. Maybe not the Allmans unless you've got some funny mushrooms. I think the 'shrooms would be better for Tull. I think they give you locomotive breath. EARLY Allman Brother (Live at the Fillmore) was just good blues/rock. No additives needed.
rockpile Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Man, are you a girl? Did you ever listen to The Band? !@#$ing original and brilliant.
rockpile Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 TRAFFIC. Now you guys are talking music. You better light up or leave me alone.
ieatcrayonz Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 You don't like Jethro Tull?! Thats it, I don't know you anymore. Oh, and The Band was awesome. The subject was about bands, not individuals. Even so, David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen were both way better than Jethro Tull. You could even argue Peter Gabriel but he spent part of the time with Genesis.
rockpile Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 The subject was about bands, not individuals. Well then scratch Jethro Tull and Pink Floyd off the list.
X. Benedict Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Well then scratch Jethro Tull and Pink Floyd off the list. That disqualifies Molly Hatchet too.
GG Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 honest, didn't read it. If I HAD, I would have bitched about you putting Steely Dan next to the totally annoying Supertramp (although Supertramp was better than the Ramones). Not Supertramp of Crime of the Century, probably one of the more underrated albums.
EC-Bills Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Three pages, and not one reference to the greatest band of the '70s: Boston. What, are you people deaf? You would have more credibility if you were actually referring to the Bad Boys of Boston and not the crappy band known as Boston.

You could even argue Peter Gabriel but he spent part of the time with Genesis. Would you not agree that Led Zeppelin was a way better solo musician than any of em?
The Big Cat Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 I like what I'm hearing here. Many fans of The Allmans, Traffic, and a few for The Band. I'm thinking this could make for one hazy corner of the parking lot at RWS
Chilly Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 I'm thinking this could make for one hazy corner of the parking lot at RWS I drove in through nazareth, was feelin bout half past dead. Just need some place where I could lay my head. Hey mister can ya tell me where a man might find a bed?
The Dean Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Would you not agree that Led Zeppelin was a way better solo musician than any of em? i can't believe he sucked in those vets. thank God you caught it
