The size, speed and work ethic fits what Marv desires. I would love to see us get this guy and use him all over our defensive front line, especially in the middle. I want us to take the best player, reguardless of position.

I think the comparisons to Seymour are more to do with he could play DT or DE not so much in terms of talent. As Carriker should see himself taken in the 1st Round but he's surely not a top 10 talent like Seymour was.

I am right with you here. I do believe that the Bills will be in a position to take him, and a LOT of teams will want his services. I could see Adam Carriker as the piece that facilitates a trade down IF Buffalo is stockpiling picks in this draft. I could see the Broncos as being the likely team to move up and grab him. IF the Bills don't take Lynch, and Okoye and Willis are gone, I'd imagine that Carriker, Hall, and Ginn, Jr. will be the bait come April 28th!!

I know the likes of Akoye, Willis, and Lynch seem to be the logical choice for need but just like when Marv made it a point to take McCargo earlier than what everyone thought he should, Carriker could be the kind of player that Marv does covet. With his versatility and our defense being more of a concern for us this year, Carriker might be the type of player who makes a better pro than college player. Carriker's versatility gives us as a defense versatility. New England uses a 34 defense at certain times and then use a 43 defense. The more players that we accumalate that have multi abilities allows us more alternatives during gametime. While we have the tandem of Kelsay/Denney on one side, I'd like for us to be able to reinforce Schobel if need be. I'm curious if Carriker could be a primary DT for the most part, using him in a rotation with McCargo. Could this be possible?
