Tipster19 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 The Eagles, Lions and Redskins (before they signed Fletcher) have also reportedly have been involved in talks concerning Wilson. I'm surprised Buffalo hasn't been mentioned. Marv must really have a plan or feels the lack of need at the LB position to not put out feelers for a proven ILB. This actually makes me feel better seeing that the Bills are not in a panic mode.
bud8andbills Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 What kind of money is he seeking or getting? If they could package TKO or a cpl picks I'd like to see him in a Bills uniform.

Tipster19 Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 Here's a link with more information on the scenario but keep on reading. The gossip on the QB carousel is pretty interesting, especially if Culpepper gets reunited with Moss. Wouldn't that be a scream! http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/10080863

The Tomcat Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 I'd love to see it happen. It would give us that much more flexiblity in the draft to trade down.
marauderswr80 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Again.......lets not trade away picks........
tombstone56 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 What kind of money is he seeking or getting? If they could package TKO or a cpl picks I'd like to see him in a Bills uniform. cost is the issue ,, he scheduled to make 5.2 million.. thats why they re trying to move him
beerme1 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 First we have a blogger who has talks that are apparently heating up with Buffalo, and now we have an actual Buffalo News reporter Al Wilson playing ILB. I know he seems like a big guy but I don't know if I like him at ILB vs sports reporter.

MDH Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 He's a Giant. I always thought he was on the small side.
stuckincincy Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Is Tampa considering him? He can string out a play. A good fit in the Tamp-X defense.
beerme1 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 He can string out a play. A good fit in the Tamp-X defense. That's bad. That just stinks
bdelma Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 I'd Make that move in a heartbeat. Solid Middle guy.
Acantha Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Broncos | Wilson deal reportedly dead Fri, 23 Mar 2007 15:09:44 -0700 Ralph Vacchiano, of the New York Daily News, reports talks of a trade between the Denver Broncos and the New York Giants for Broncos LB Al Wilson have broken off because Wilson failed a physical given by the Giants.
Nanker Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Whaaat??? For $6.5 million the Jints want a guy that can pass a physical? Outrageous! What the Hell kind of hookie-dookie was Sha-na-na-han up to anyway?
Nanker Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Linky Thingy for those demanding such things. Nanker Public Service Essence Posting for those too lazy to click the linky: "A deal with the New York Giants appeared imminent Friday when Wilson visited the team's facility for a physical - ordinarily the final phase of any trade. However, the examination on the middle linebacker raised concerns to the point that any deal involving Wilson is currently in limbo. An eight-year veteran and five-time Pro Bowl selection, Wilson, who turns 30 in June, suffered neck and thumb injuries this past season. Several New York media outlets are reporting the Wilson deal to the Giants is dead, but the Broncos may be trying to rework a contingency deal, either with New York or other teams."

SportsCenter just reported that he FAILED his physical and the deal is off. At least that's what I THINK I heard.
