Guest Danno Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Millar should go back to doing commercials with Donovan McNabb for Lincoln Financial!!!!! Hillbilly Mfer....like wrestling fans!!!
Rico Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Well there's like two other threads already now, so I guess not. At least most of the posts are in this one thread. 67589 Some people don't know any better. You did good.
Rico Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 I don't think Mussina has ever had anything close to a 6-run lead in a big game, good for him... he looks great!
millbank Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 This is crazy...and I LOVE IT! 67633 in 2001 Mussina came one strike from Perfect game against Sox had Carl Everett 1-2 and Everett hit a single to break it up,, so Moose has some history of Pitching well against these guys.....
Pete Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Last season Mussina damn near threw a perfect game against the Red Sox. I was at that game. He gave up a bloop single early then faced only 28 batters and fanned a bunch of them. Mussina gets in these zones sometimes where he is unhittable. He has been locked in the last 6 weeks or so. He wasnt pitching so hot before that though

wwovince Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Hats off to moose but dont forget its only game 1 and hes your best pitcher.
Pete Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Last time he faced a batter he gave up a series winning HR then the first batter he faces back at the Stadium hits another off him
CosmicBills Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Hats off to moose but dont forget its only game 1 and hes your best pitcher. 67656 Yes, but Lieber and El Duque have been on fire too. But, it all depends on if El Duque can pitch. Plus, Brown looked GREAT. I expect Brown to come up big this series.
CosmicBills Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 LOL!!!!! The new chant just heard at the Stadium is: "Who's Your Daddy" Gotta love it!
CosmicBills Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Sox fans, answer me this. Why would you want to give the Yanks a look at Wakefield before his start? I mean, he can be baffling himself, so why use him here at all? It just allows the Yanks to get a read on him before his Game 4 start.

Pedro and Curt are going to pitch two times each this series. Curt screwed the pooch tonight, but you haven't seen the last of him. I expect Pedro to pitch well tomorrow night.

It might happen, but to "expect" it when it hasn't happened in a LONG time is stretching things quite a bit. Oh and Go Stros!
MadBuffaloDisease Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Ouch, now game 4 starter Tim Wakefield is getting rocked. Not a good sign for the Sox!

It might happen, but to "expect" it when it hasn't happened in a LONG time is stretching things quite a bit. Oh and Go Stros! 67670 I just have a feeling he is going to do well tomorrow night. It's just a gut feeling, that's all. I have no stats to back it up, it's just a hunch. The Astros are a tough team, should be a tough series.

Not a good sign for the Sox! 67672 I just don't get the move to bring him into this game. It doesn't make sense unless they are planning on starting Schill in game 4 (which is possible). But if his ankle is really bad (which I suspect it is), then he won't be able to go 3 times this series...
