obie_wan Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Now I'm really confused? Didn't McGee play in the cover 2 last season? He sucked so bad, he was benched. The coaches were forced to bastardize the cover-2 defense so they wouldn't be embarassed. When they let he & Clements play straight man-to-man the bulk of the time in the 2nd half of the year, he performed much better. But playing man is not the cover-2- so if McGee does not figure out how to play zone he will be covering the slot WR as a nickel back.
