JarHeadJim Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Great quote regarding Syracuse during halftime of the Stanford game: "They should call an official timeout and substitute Syracuse for Stanford,"
Gavin in Va Beach Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 The Stanford pick was a farkin farce, purely political in an attempt to negate the 'East coast bias' argument. Totally blew up in the selection committee's faces...
The Poojer Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 that quote and an NIT championship may make up for the snub in my mind...NOT, but still classic Great quote regarding Syracuse during halftime of the Stanford game: "They should call an official timeout and substitute Syracuse for Stanford,"
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Didn't see the game, but I thought the same thing when I saw the final score. What hurts is the fact that Syracuse is a better team than Louisville--just blew that 15 point lead by sloppy play earlier in the year. Regardless, clearly Stanford didn't belong.
bills44 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Hopefully, Arkansas, Illinois and Purdue all get drilled today, so that everyone can see how much of a sham the selection process was.
BuffOrange Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Nice job by Arkansas - imagine if they played a team that was actually deserving of a #5 seed. What a F&*#ing joke.
