johnnychemo Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Having EM back would not be a bad thing as long as he patched things up with JP. As mentioned by others, he is the type of receiver we are lacking at this time. Unfortunately, I don't see him signing for the vet minimum. If he signs, look for a contract similar to Price's. There is no way he is going to play for minimum when Peerless is making, what, $2M a season. If he wants to play ANYWHERE he may not have much of a choice. After all, nobody seems to be beating down his door. Minimum plus incentives makes sense to me.
RayFinkle Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 So how many people in this thread REALLY only want him back beause they own a Moulds jersey?
Gordio Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 How many of you are hypocrites here? When Eric was a Bill how many of you said 1. He was still a productive Receiver and should be kept, losing him would be a mistake 2. JP should not have been handed the starting job that year Half the board wanted him to be kept, now after one bad year on a horrible team, he's released and expressed interest in coming back and people want to stay away from him like he's the Plague If Marv were to sign him, obviously he would be here to compete for one of the starting #2-7 WR jobs, not the #1 spot, and he would be catching balls from JP, which I doubt he would have a problem with because his only problem was he though JP was too young and inexperienced to be handed a starting job on a team that was supposed to be playoff bound (a point most of us would agree on) If Peerless can come back humbled from his time away, I think Moulds can too. As long as he comes back cheap, I say why not. Have you even watched him play the last 3 yrs. The guy sucks.
BillsCelticsAngelsBama Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 So how many people in this thread REALLY only want him back beause they own a Moulds jersey? Yeah I have one. But the teams still needs to go back to the Royal Blue Jersey as well
apuszczalowski Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Have you even watched him play the last 3 yrs. The guy sucks. He's not the same player he was when he was younger, but he doesn't suck. He's better then most WR's alreadfy on the roster and in Buffalo could compete for the #2 spot. Oh wait, he's a former Bill, so automatically he sucks and his best days are behind him
Arkady Renko Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 He's not the same player he was when he was younger, but he doesn't suck. Oh wait, he's a former Bill, so automatically he sucks and his best days are behind him Honestly, I wouldn't be able to handle the frustration of watching his 8 yard hitch route where he gets tripped up by the corner back every time or if he doesn't catch the pass waving to the officials to throw the flag. I am a big Moulds fan but his last year was a struggle to watch his one dimensional game.
KOKBILLS Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 So how many people in this thread REALLY only want him back beause they own a Moulds jersey? Guilty...
marauderswr80 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 anyone notice Andre Johnson had a good year last year? Part of that is cause Moulds was on the other side. I wouldnt mid him coming back as long as he understood his role with the team.
I'm Spartacus Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 NO WAY!!!! It is imperative not to disrupt this team's chemistry. I don't want anything to jeopardize Lee Evans's position on the team as the go-to receiver and JP's role as a locker room leader. This is a young team with young leaders; let's keep it that way. Totally agree JR - good point. Eric made his bed.....
Captain Hindsight Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 i specifically remember marv saying after that draft how excited he was to land that calibre of player.. marv said this guy had the most pure talent he had seen since andre reed and that he was the best return man he has seen come out of college football.. and that was 10 years ago
cåblelady Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 So how many people in this thread REALLY only want him back beause they own a Moulds jersey? I own TWO.
RunTheBall Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 What's with all the "Moulds has great hands" comments? If I remember correctly, his last 2 seasons here he was dropping some catchable balls and when he did catch it on his 8-yard-hitch-when-we-need-10, he was getting tackled short of the 1st. No way Marv brings in a malcontent to this team that just started to learn how to win with some young leaders. RTB
booya2 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I've been reading this thread and noticed that some are debating money, some are debating whether or not Eric has the skills to play on da Bills... well I simply cannot stay silent on this topic any longer. Allow me to speak on behalf of Eric... Eric don't need a whole lot of money.... Eric don't need a big fine car.... All Eric needs is Buffalo... cuz Eric is... some kinda wonderful (yesss he is) some kinda wonderful (heyy heyyy nowwww) some kinda wonderful whoooooooooo.... *sing it with me now*
frogger Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I would, only because he would have to prove himself to JP instead of JP proving himself to Moulds, he really didn't burn any bridges. I would request him to lose weight, get to about 205, he looks about 10 pounds overweight. Maybe he and Price will regain some of their form this way
daquix Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Have you even watched him play the last 3 yrs. The guy sucks. 2004 Buffalo Bills ... 88 receptions, 1043 yards, 5 touchdowns 2005 Buffalo Bills ... 81 receptions, 816 yards, 4 touchdowns 2006 Houston Texans ... 57 receptions, 557 yards, 1 touchdowns Average of past 3 years/per year ... 75 receptions, 805 yards, 3 touchdowns

ganesh Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 anyone notice Andre Johnson had a good year last year? Part of that is cause Moulds was on the other side. I wouldnt mid him coming back as long as he understood his role with the team. He will disrupt the team chemistry....He made quite a bit of parting shots last year at Losman....I just don't see Jauron wanting him back to cause disruption in the locker room.
