We have too many needs to just trade McGahee and have to use our 1st rder to replace him. I expect us to draft the best defensive player with at least our 1st rder, reguardless if we stay at the #12 pick or trade back. If we stay at #12 look for us to draft LB Patrick Willis or if we trade back a few slots I'm expecting Buffalo to be considering someone along the lines of CB Darrelle Revis. We can find a good, solid value at RB somewheres in the 3rd rd. Here's a suggestion, what do you think?

He sounds and looks like the kind of person/player that Marv covets.

"The last Nebraska back to come out early? Ahman Green, who was selected in the third round by the Seattle Seahawks in 1998."

Ahman Green, another Seahawks castoff to make it big in the NFL.

Good find.

We might end up with this Jackson in the 3rd, FS Tanard Jackson in the 3rd, CB DeAndre Jackson in the 6th, and DE Xavier Jackson in the 7th. All to join RB Fred Jackson already on the team.

Just kidding. I was pulling your...Jackson.

I like alot of what I saw, he looks to be a good receiver out of the backfield and his best days are def ahead of him but he lacks breakaway speed, seemed to be tackled from behind a lot and brought down by the first guy way too much

Shhhh...don't let anybody else know!

Yes, I like this kid a lot.

His big negative is he does not get good grades for blocking.

But he is a good hard runner and good receiver out of the backfield.

I really think we need to spend at least the first 2 picks on defensive holes so finding a gem in the 3rd round is going to paramount at the RB position. This guy could be it.

In one of the articles he stated that he's working on his speed. I would love for him to be another Thurman Thomas.

Scouring around trying to find possibilities, I realize that there is value with mid round picks. I would like Buffalo to address the defense with their early round picks.

[FS Tanard Jackson/quote]

He's a CB... and played exclusively there at Syracuse. He's a keeper at corner... very physical. I'd be surprised if he lasted till the 3rd rd. because he's probably rated 4 or 5 at CB in thi draft. He's also accustomed to playing NFL type schemes/coverages because of Greg Robinson's influence.

Nice heads up. I really think Marv wants another TT type player as well. I hope we can get more info on these kind of RBs over the next few weeks.

Last year in my fantasy league a buddy of mine had Julius Jones, Kevin Jones and Thomas Jones(honestly, you cant make this stuff up)

In related news he was unable to trade for Maurice Jones-Drew, and neglected to pick up Matt Jones, PacMan Jones or retired TE Freddie Jones.

I told him theres always next year.....

I agree. And not that any back wouldn't benefit from a better line, but a TT-esque back in particular NEEDS some beef up front to shine. Now that we've got some O-line guys on board, I'd love to see us find Thurman Jr.

IMO, it's a back like Willis that needs the beef. A TT-type back with good vision and instincts, who is patient in running behind his blockers (and can even hide behind them, to some extent) only needs to spot a cutback lane and go...not so much moving the pile as stringing it out and sealing.

Brandon shows up

Ronnie get stronger and in better condition
