OnTheRocks Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Will the Bills get a compensatory pick for losing Nate Clemments? If so,...do they get a compensatory pick this year or would they get it next year? Finally if they get a comensatory pick next year for Clemments, is there anyone they lost last year that would qualify them to get a pick this year?
Lurker Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Nope. They've signed more FA's than they lost so far. It's based on net gain/loss in bodies, not contract value.
clumping platelets Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Contract value does play into the equation Bills will not get any comp picks in this years draft Next year, it's also not likely because Dockery signing is basically equivalent to Clements' loss, Walker balances out the Fletcher loss, Whittle signing does not count in comp forumla because it's only a 1 yr deal There is a poster at KFFL who does a breakdown (i.e. predicts) the comp picks to be awarded.........he's been 90+% accurate over the yrs.......when he posts his write-up, I'm sure you'll see a link posted here somewhere
