BuffBills#1 Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Even though my #1 choice would be to take Willis with the 12th pick, I just don't think he is going to be there. On yahoo they rank the top 5 at each position and the #3 rated ILB jumped out at me. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=jm-i...o&type=lgns The say he is perfect for the cover 2 and can start early in his career. Say we go with Lynch in the 1st, Tank Tyler or the best available corner in the 2nd, and this LB in the 3rd. I'de be thrilled with a draft like this.
BuffBills#1 Posted March 9, 2007 Author Posted March 9, 2007 For the record, Kiper doesn't have this kid in his top 5
DrDawkinstein Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 that dude sounds like a young london fletcher... no thanks
BuffBills#1 Posted March 9, 2007 Author Posted March 9, 2007 He's 6'2 how does he sound like the next london fletcher?
DrDawkinstein Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 He's 6'2 how does he sound like the next london fletcher? this is how: ...although he can get overpowered at the point of attack if a lead blocker is allowed to seek him out without being touched. Durant locates the ball quickly and plays with good balance. Some teams feel he is a little smaller than ideal to man the middle as he will need to be protected by his defensive tackles or face lead blockers who could clear him out of the way.
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 that dude sounds like a young london fletcher... no thanks Yeah no one want a ultra productive lb. Nope not at all. Young London Fletcher what a bum

You know how Marv loves those small-school kids.
Tortured Soul Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 For the record, Kiper doesn't have this kid in his top 5 Can you post Kiper's top 5 RB's? Thanks.
BuffBills#1 Posted March 9, 2007 Author Posted March 9, 2007 It's wierd how Kiper's rankings are so much different from other people's rankings. Just goes to show you that someone rated in the 30's could be in the top 10 in Marv's eyes. If there is one thing I've learned with Marv so far it's that you'll never guess what he is gonna do next. Guessing who he is going to draft is pretty much pointless. Show me one person who said we'de take Whitner at 8 last year? Alaska Darin Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Zak DeOssie's combine numbers are pretty good, plus he's obviously a smart dude (Ivy League school and all). Add to that his dad was a terrific special teamer during his decade + in the NFL and I think you have a guy to look at. Not that I know anything about him, because I don't watch a lot of college football. Just throwing it out there.
Dr. Fong Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 although he can get overpowered at the point of attack if a lead blocker is allowed to seek him out without being touched No thanks.
DrDawkinstein Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Yeah no one want a ultra productive lb. Nope not at all. Young London Fletcher what a bum im well aware of London's strong points. but we are PURPOSELY moving away from him for the reasons i quoted above. i never called him a bum, relax, he's not even on our team anymore. and he's not on our team for a reason.
cmdevisser Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 seems like a lot of people see San Fransisco grabbing willis at 11
